Inside was too noisy to hear the person next to you. We Sat outside. Took forever to get our dinner or a refill on our wine.

Good luck calling for take out. At 3:30 pm there’s a voice recording that says ā€œwe’re busy. Call back laterā€ ha

Amel's is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh! The food is absolutely phenomenal — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their Mediterranean dishes are authentic and made with care, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. The service is warm, attentive, and makes you feel like family. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing dinner or a special night out. Highly recommend the lamb kabobs and the hummus — you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to come back!

I have been coming to Amel's since I was a kid. I have always loved the grape leaves and amel's salad! I now live out of state and was excited to try my old favs again. Unfortunately the grape leaves were so salty they were almost inedible. The salad was very good and the hummus was delicious! Disappointed in one of my favorites!

This is an iconic restaurant with great ambiance and food. I’ve been coming here forever and doesn’t get old. Kabob sampler is my go to . Big portions that I take home for next days lunch. Tonight , Amy was our waitress and she was attentive but not overbearing. Happy anniversary to us, 41 years and they gave us a huge piece of Death by Chocolate cake to go!

Great restaurant . Amazing service , food and atmosphere. All great. My only advice is to watch for not overcooking the chicken

Hidden gem!

Very nice environment, comfortable and not noisy.

What I was really craving was falafel. If not kind of dry I would say they were very good. They prepared it on a pita the usual way, but used standard American pickle slices which I felt was not good at all with the rest... I like the pickled turnips or similar used by the other places I go. These were terrible on there.

So I felt it was pricey for the quality I got.

Taboulleh was really good. Service was excellent.

I must have the Lamb shank of Jasmine. Absolutly love both. We've been going to Amel's for many years now. They get quite busy. Reservations a must.
