As others have stated, certainly one of the best (if not THE best) hard serve ice creameries in the Pgh area. It's worth the trip. If you appreciate real ice cream with good variety and excellent quality, you owe it to yourself to visit Antney's at least once.
I'm a sucker for Dave & Andy's because of undergrad, and Page's is amazing for soft serve, but I think these guys are the best hard serve ice cream places around! Good mix of interesting flavors, large scoop sizes (plus a taster option that I went with), and reasonable prices. Licorice and dirty bears were my favorite, but I'm also really impressed that their NSNF strawberry cheesecake actually turned out well too! Usually the health options suffer on texture. A bit of a hike from the city, but worth the trek!

Went here on a whim and it was so fun! Lots of unique ice cream flavors, sweet staff, and an adorable patio area. We tried the pumpkin cheesecake, root beer, and golden Oreo flavors.

Best ice cream I’ve had in a long time! Very rich and creamy. Perfectly sweet. Almost fried ice cream and something with cornflakes in it. Will return. Staff members were very friendly too!
I was about to drive clear to Canonsburg for Sarris's ice cream but this was a nice change up.

Fantastic - their strawberry pretzel cheesecake flavor was seriously some of the best ice cream I've ever had in my life.
Excellent homemade ice cream and excellent service- I'm just sad that they're not not open during the day just in the evenings.

So I always recommended this by a family friend who said that it's one of the best ice cream shops in Pittsburgh. The experience was very different than any other place I've been to. They were very helpful letting you taste everything that you would like before ordering
The lady who was helping me was very helpful. I'm very kind about the situation. I wasn't sure what I wanted. She let me try everything that I would like before ordering, and that was very helpful from choosing what ice cream we would like.
We ordered a milkshake, which was a Golden Oreo cookie cream.
We ordered Dutch coffee with Cherry Cone Dip
We ordered the Superman with cotton candy Cone Dip
Overall I believe they're all very delicious hut the only downside is they are a bit expensive so I wouldn't go there all the time but it is a nice experience to go with family.
Thank you very much to all the staff who are very kind to us

Perfect real ice cream and multiple flavors!!! Waffle cones and...wait? Waffle dish? Amazing. Check the menu. My fave? Vanilla and lavender. Heavenly.
They open evenings only. 5pm to 9pm.
Was these Sunday at 5:10 and there was a line! Hardly waited because they have 4 windows going. Great service!

Had the strawberry ice cream. It came out pink and tasted very artificial.

That ice cream was some of the best I think I’ve literally ever had, and I told the chick I never have been there before and she happily told me all about what they have and do there. Super cool! And the teenage girls working were so polite, professional and prompt! 10/10 best service from teenage/young adults I have had in a long time.

I feel very lucky that this place is within walking distance of my house. My husband and I recently moved to Crafton, and we brought our dog here the other night. Our dog loved the pup cup, and the ice cream was the best my husband and I have ever had -- and I worked in several mom & pop ice cream shops in my youth! We're so glad to have this place close by. :)

Antney's ice cream is divine. As a person who does not eat dairy, I was so grateful that Antney's had more than one dairy free option on the menu. The staff went above and beyond to check the ingredients when I had questions. Really stellar customer service. Plentiful parking.
Vegetarian options: Dairy-free ice creams and sorbets are served here. Flavor selection rotates.
Dietary restrictions: Staff is knowledgeable about ingredients and can double check to verify product ingredients.
Parking: Numerous parking spots available in an adjacent lot
Kid-friendliness: Kid size scoops available. Many flavors on the menu that would appeal to children

Specifically went here since one of our out of town friends was gluten and dairy free and we were sooo taken aback at the amount of options Antney’s offered for folks with those limitations! INCLUDING A GLUTEN FREE CONE!!! And the prices are extremely reasonable. I got the flight so I could try three smaller quantities of three flavors and my favorite was a seasonal (I think?) ginger cookie that tasted like Trader Joe’s Speculous Cookie Butter.
