Great cafeteria style breakfast
Great food, good prices for downtown and friendly staff.
Cash only, counter service, family owned diner. As with all good cash-only places they do have an ATM for you cashless folks. We had breakfast. Get something with potatoes, their fried potatoes are the bomb. Pleasant folks, but they are there to take your order and have you on your way. Would love to go back for lunch if I am ever in town for lunch. I got the steak and eggs. The steak was on the tough side, but for the price it was all good.
What a charming little spot. Fantastic homestyle comfort food, great people and atmosphere - overall could not get any better!
Enjoyed the breakfast & will be back.
Always fresh, delicious and so affordable. Their daily special soups are always amazing!! If you're looking for a quick breakfast/lunch spot downtown this is the one!!
Heads up: they only take cash. They have an ATM on premises.
This place isn't expensive like most everywhere else: it costs exactly what you think it should. I paid $13 for a good-sized breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, and pancakes.
I had troubles with the ATM, but they were already making my order. I told them I'd have to call my bank when it opened, and she said it was fine if I came back later to pay. It took me by surprise, but she took down my number, and I paid later with a healthy 30% tip. Please don't exploit their trust, because they're decent people who take care of others.
Visited today on my lunch break.
Must know: they only accept cash, no cards, there is an atm inside for convenience.
I had the 1/2 Sand and cup of soup.
The Seafood Bisque was thick and rich. Beautiful soup.
The 1/2 Corned Beef was fresh, large, and not salty. Wonderfully fresh sandwich.
I also had a side of Mediterranean salad.
Chick peas, soft cabbage, kale, red bell pepper, feta, dressed perfectly.
This will be a go to spot for many future lunches.
Highly recommend!

I love breakfast. It’s not that hard to mess up. Somehow this place can’t figure out basics. I had sand in my potatoes, the pancakes tasted like frozen microwaved rocks, and the turkey sausage was simply inedible. I had the throw everything away. I don’t write a lot of reviews but my god this place is terrible. I mean really guys how do you fux it up so bad? Please fix your food. Cash only also…

Delicious food! Friendly and fast service, very reasonably priced. Right next-door to the Even Hotel on Forbes Avenue. Cash only. So good we visited twice during our Pittsburgh stay.
