Since when did they start using conveyor belt oven for pizza and premade dough? Not the Ardolino’s quality I remember. No better than YA YA’s or other conveyor belt pizza shops now. No crisp. Soft and Chewy and it’s 30.00 for a large two topping. From what I remember, they didn’t always use a conveyor belt oven. It definitely shows now. Disappointing, overpriced, (but tastes ok) just not crispy crust I remember. No way is it worth the price anymore. Used to rank higher on my list. Nothing special or different about the hundred other shops that use conveyor belt and premade dough from one of the Pittsburgh restaurant depots. Still charging like they aren’t though!

Ordered a lunch special. Italian Hogie and soda for 8.83. Great price. Nothing special hardly any meat or cheese. Very little dressing. Bery dry. Really bland and boring. I do not reccomend it. I guess you get what you pay for in this case.

Way overpriced. $26 for a 12 cut pepperoni. Now, there is nothing special about this pizza. It is run through a conveyor oven, not a deck oven. For a conveyor oven, it does generate a crispier crust than most conveyor ovens, but does not mimic a true Italian or NY style pizza that would be cooked on a Baker's Pride or Blodgett deck. They do use high-gluten flour and cup-and-char pepperoni and I was happy with the amount of sauce and cheese. For a NY style pizza, it's not bad, but not the best. The slice holds up to a fold. But the issue I have with this pizza shop is the price. Their pizza is make with identical ingredients as Primanti Bros. (cooked on a deck). Ardelino's = $26; PB = $20Sure $6 is not going to make or break me, but it's something you should know.

The people are so great here! It always feels like a community hotspot with friendly faces and good food. When I ended up with a leaking tire on my way over there, two of the cooks came out to help me change it!

I first had Ardolino's back in the early 90s when he was located up off N Highland Rd in USC. I moved away from the area in 1995 and returned in 2018. It's still legit. Order several times a month.
