I have been to quite a few soul food restaurants in my time and this was by far the best!! The service was great and I just was so amazed by the food. If I get to Pittsburgh again, I will definitely go back. I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes lunch special that came with a roll, and added greens w/turkey meat and candied yams on the side as well. Everything was amazing. Idk if I’ve ever had better gravy. I tipped when I paid for my meal and tipped again when I left. It was that good!!

We stopped by today, Thursday 10/24 for lunch. Not open. No lights on. Kind of looks permanently closed. Was Really looking forward to the food.

Doors were locked, curtains drawn, no lights on. This was at 12 noon. Maybe a little after.

Visiting the city for the ASALH conference, and decided to stop by to support a Black-Owned restaurant. Walked here from the Omni Hotel. The lights are on, the open sign neon and blinking, but the doors are locked. I hope all is well.

First time lunch stop. Salman rice and veggies were cooked perfectly. I will be back.

Parking: Typical parking for downtown Pittsburgh. Covered parking across the street and close to the David L Lawrence Convention Center.

The space is very small. The Jazz Band was very good but this venue is too small. The salad was ok. Columns and where the band set up (at the door) was not good. Also the people sitting at high tables at the door blocked the sight of the band.

Parking: This venue is in the Strip District. Paid parking lot was a couple blocks away. Free Street parking is hard to find.

Was excited for days to come. The store wasn’t open during the hours it mentioned, no one knew about to enter, no accessible signs and the phone never answered.
