Fast food "sushi." The staff are really great here, bad quality and high prices are not their fault. That said, I've had sushi all over the US, this is by far the worst "sushi" yet it is priced as if it was quality. The fish is shipped here pre sliced on plastic sheets. Everything tastes... off and is either tough or chewy.
On the West Coast sushi prices this high are for nice sit-down restaurants with authentic cuisine and fresh food. Not here. This is fast food "sushi." $15-$20 a roll gets you questionable food served on a plastic takeout box. My girlfriend gave me her "poke bowl." That has never ever happened—she does NOT share.

UPDATE: Thank you Dave for making our experience so nice!
REVIEW: This is one of my preferred sushi spots. The servings are consistently nice, when so many other places are skimping nowadays. (I mean you, Chipotle)
Here's my usual: spicy tuna, avocado, jalapeno, cucumber, crunchy rice, green onions, and chili spices. I get ginger and wasabi inside with spicy mayo on top. It never lets me down.
Atarashi, I love your food and your staff. Thanks so much!

I had the Volcano bowl and 2 rolls to go which were of exceptional quality, taste, and there was plenty to eat in each dish. They gave me the extra wasabi that I requested so a big thanks for that. I was taking out and while waiting, the music was very loud and was some kind of screaming, brain splitting noise that I could live the rest of my life without hearing again. I'm sure it's a generational thing. They did turn it down
a notch which I appreciated but it sounded like somebody was being tortured so not really a pleasant sound or level to be exposed to whether eating in or waiting to escape the torture. Maybe something that is a bit more Japanese sushi fitting and calm would help the customer experience of the very good food. Could not possibly have eaten in this location but as take out, the food was great

I think the portions could be bigger for a $13 bowl. Also, there was not a soul in the place and I still had to order at the kiosk while the girl just stood behind the counter on her phone. She didn’t even acknowledge me, it would have been nice to have a hello or even a smile…

I got the teriyaki chicken bowl. Chicken was dry and overcooked and the amount was very little for the price. The spring rolls and the crab Rangoon roll were delicious though.

Don’t offer all of the options on Grub Hub if you’re just going to forget all the garnishes and sauces. Also ordered and paid for an 8 piece gyoza, received a 4 piece. I hate to say it but worst tasting sushi I’ve ever had.

This place has lost my business for good even though I like the actual food. They refuse to take orders at the counter or over the phone and insist that you use their overly complex kiosk. The items on the pick list require a translator to even know what you're ordering. The website doesn't list all the options like shrimp so I literally can't even order what I want even if I wanted to do their job for them. I've watched people ask to order food at the counter, be refused, and straight walk out (3/4 times I've been!!, so not a large sample size but a consistent theme). Watching angry customers being refused service and told to use the kiosk is so cringy too. I don't know how they keep staff when every person that comes in complains about it, then takes their business elsewhere. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that all day. Byeee.

The one star is for the people that work here. The rest of it is unpacked frozen sushi and it’s mediocre at best. I joked about going to giant eagle instead but we should have.
