I come here every weekend with my friends. The atmosphere is cozy, the music is great, and the food is out of this world. Especially the brownies. The owners are super friendly and kind. Love the Atwood cafe

Do yourself a favor and visit Atwood Café, a lovely neighborhood restaurant and hangout! The service is unmatched by Maya and Gabe. They truly care about your experience. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious and creative, with full vegan and dairy-free options – everything we tasted was really good!! Don't miss the French Fries, either. Just like the "O". Highly recommended!

The cutest cafe in oakland!! The staff is so incredibly nice and the food is made with such great quality. On weekends they do byob movie nights and give out free popcorn. This place deserves way more love!

Found this gem, safely tucked away on Atwood St. in Oakland. I am so impressed with this place, I do not know where to start! BYOB, so we took a 6 pack in to enjoy with our sandwiches. No fee for BYOB, as far as I could tell. When you walk in, it is a cute and cozy Cafe style (as the name implies) space. A great looking menu, not over doing it with the options. I start conversation with the young woman behind the dessert display counter. I find out the place is family owned and she is the daughter, the baker at the Cafe. Everything on the menu was homemade in house. I am always impressed by this so I felt it was going to be a great meal. We sat outside, they have a cool patio on the side, it's a large and well spaced out area. They have a projector set up and bugs bunny was on the screen. I saw a popcorn machine off to the side that looked like it was for their guests, I didn't even ask because I already knew I wanted to try a few things off of the menu. I ordered the Blue Moon brisket sandwich, awesome smoky and kind of sweet flavors, the bun was soft and the sandwich was well built. My fiance ordered the bourbon bacon cheeseburger. Great flavors, burger was slightly over cooked, we ordered medium. Not a problem, the burger was flavorful and not dry. We ordered a side of homemade mac n cheese and you can add a topping from other items on the menu, such as brisket or fried chicken - out of this world. I went inside to order a slice of the peaches and cream cheesecake to go, and find out that the peaches were actually grown in the owners yard, and were just picked recently. Overall, I am very impressed with this place, food was good, prices were right, and the family who owns this gem of a place(all 3 employees at the time) was very nice. I will be back in to see them again, and maybe next time it will be for breakfast (which they serve until 2pm), because I heard they have an amazing soufflé pancake! 10/10 spot $39 for all of the above mentioned items. $11 for gratuity.
Me and my roommate went here for the first time and got the plain whipped coffee. It was so good and the woman working there was so friendly and helpful. Exceeded our expectations and very affordable!! Better than starbucks in my opinion

My girlfriend and I have been going here since it opened and it's been amazing! Amazing food, baked goods, coffee, and weirdly, fries! Very relaxed atmosphere with a bunch of different games.

This cafe is a great place for hangout, play board games, and watch movies. The owner was really cool and sweet. We ordered three menu items from the grill menu: yowarma, bourbon bacon burger, and tasian steak and they taste great and are hot. They also serve desserts and drinks. They have a huge collection of board games and you can also bring your own games to play with friends. I highly recommend this place to anyone and we will surely return for more.
