Nice local bar restaurant featuring Southwest-style food, tacos, and a variety of other menu items. Stopped here for lunch with coworkers and enjoyed our time there. Would visit again.

Wonderful experience. We had to sit at the bar downstairs but the server was great. She explained how the tacos are small and suggested the dinner for two option which we would not have thought about and had almost got up to eat somewhere else. All the food was great. Margaritas were great. Went in winter but I suppose we could have ate outside.

This was our first time at Bakersfield. Overall, everything was delicious. A little disappointed in the menu, that there weren't more options. But then again, sometimes having too many options is overwhelming. I would go back.

We were in town to visit my son and his family , and we were hosting the dinner for them and we ordered a family style dinner and let me tell you we were not disappointed. Everything was extremely delicious. My only disappointment was that the bag wasn’t enforced on the bottom and when we got to our Airbnb, the bottom fell out, but thank goodness we managed to save the food and nothing went to waste. Might be a good idea for the to go orders to put a piece of cardboard just so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else other than that I highly recommend this place. They took great care of us.

Finally got to try Bakersfield! Quite a popular spot for tacos here on Penn Ave. However, I decided to try a different part of their menu. I got to try their Milanese Torta and a side of rice and beans.
The Milanese torta was amazing. Almost a bit like chicken park (both breaded chicken), but in differently spiced and sandwich form. Breading was light, and the chicken was juicy. The portion was quite nice too. Very fresh vegetables. I will say, although the green sauce was good, I wish they offered something besides just salsa as a dipping sauce.
The rice and beans were pretty great too. A little expensive as a side, though. The rice is flavorful, with hints of cilantro and maybe a little lemon. Beans are great too, almost creamy, and topped with more sour cream. All in all, quite good!
Unexpected amazing experience, from beginning to end. Walked in hostess was awesome and gave us a great table. The room is beautiful, perfect lighting and fun atmosphere. Drinks: Regular Margherita, was offered the special for the (don't care for the flavor, my own taste) offered by Mike the server. Food: Dinner for two Chips and Salsa trio, very nice. Chicken Flautas (x3) very good Empanadas (x3) nice flavor 6 X Tacos (chicken, short rib and fish) generous serving. Mike the server was outstanding, not only did he make outstanding menu recommendations but also answered all my questions regarding the restaurant group. Just a great evening!

The food was absolutely awesome. We tried all the different varieties of tacos. We loved it in there. Definitely will return when we go back to Pittsburgh.

Had a great experience at Bakersfield on a double date with some of my friends. We were very happy with the 2 for $26 deal :) We got the empanadas and they were probably the best empanadas I've ever had! Highly recommend!

We had seasonal apple cider margs, short rib queso, the johnny salad, a seasonal ghost pepper taco, a short rib taco, and one Al pastor taco each. Everything was fresh and delicious and our service was outstanding. We plan on returning soon.
