Fun times and family friendly!
Nice area with various shops and restaurants. Street parking and parking decks available.
Don't go here and spend your money if you're a black person. They will question you about why you're here

Great place in terms of the following aspects:
Shopping and Dining: The area is home to a wide variety of shops and boutiques, along with numerous restaurants that cater to all tastes. The mention of an ice cream spot and a Starbucks on the corner are tell-tale signs of this bustling hub.
Entertainment: The large outdoor screen you mentioned, which often shows live sports like baseball games, is a signature feature of SouthSide Works. This creates a lively atmosphere perfect for grabbing dinner or a drink and catching a game.
Convenience and Accessibility: With dedicated parking garages for customers and staff, the area is easily accessible for those with cars. For those without, the presence of a nearby bus stop makes it convenient to get to and from other parts of the city. The mix of offices and university staff also points to a location that serves as both a commercial and social center.
Accommodations: The presence of reasonably priced hotels adds to its appeal as a convenient spot for visitors, making it easy to stay and explore the area without needing to travel far.
Nice little area of places to eat.
We recently visited Tako Torta in Bakery Square and had an amazing dinner experience! The drinks were some of the best we’ve ever had (specifically the coconut marg), the tacos were fresh, boldly flavored, and inventive. The atmosphere is top notch! We went for happy hour so we could enjoy $6 tacos and reduced apps! We can’t wait to visit again!
It's a bustling and happy place! Great food options, a gym, outdoor and indoor seating, shopping and more. Watch a game on the outdoor screen, or get some work on your laptop done in one of their spaces.
A huge disappointment and a major failure on the part of the hotel management. My accessible room reservation was messed up (eventually straightened out). From the time of our arrival on Thursday afternoon until our departure the following Tuesday afternoon we had NO HOUSEKEEPING services, despite repeated requests, until the night before our departure. Initially, our bed was made up for the first time (with the original lines). Then, after more complaints, the linens were changed. The bathroom and shower room floors were not swept until that last night. As we were running out of toilet paper, we had to make a special request, because housekeeping had done nothing. As we were about to leave, I used the lobby bathroom. When I entered the stall I discovered there was no toilet paper. So much for being Marriott Bonvoy members.
