Sandy is AMAZING! Make sure to ask for her and treat her right! She is a blast!
No respect for delivery
Friendly staff and great deals on above average food.
I visited Bar Louie for the first time this week with some friends for dinner before a concert. Despite the bar and dining area being mostly empty, the service was surprisingly slow, and the delay in receiving our food nearly caused us to miss the opening act.
When we politely raised the issue with our server, she was dismissive of our concerns and shifted the blame onto the kitchen staff. She even made a remark about having an intervention for one of my friends because he ordered a shot of whiskey to have with his drink. This felt highly inappropriate.
When our food finally arrived, my quesadilla was both burnt and excessively hot. Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired. We had initially wondered why other nearby restaurants like Burgatory and Southern Tier had waitlists while Bar Louie did not—now we understand why.
Amazing food. The burger and New Orleans Pasta was great!
Ordered items through Door Dash at our AirBnB. We got the Bacon Burger, Caesar Salad, and the New Orleans Shrimp Pasta.
OmG, the food was amazing. If we're ever in the area again, we are definitely ordering!

Had Dustin as my bartender, let's jus say I've been going through a lot and for him to take time to listen and talk and be so kind meant alot. Everytime I've been down there I've enjoyed myself but for him to just being a genuine good person meant alot also thank you Sydney to only talked to her briefly but she was wonderful allso. Didn't eat or I'm sure that would be 5 stars to lol

We came in trying to wait for food, but it took 20 minutes for the bartender to walk over to us and ask what we wanted. We said we wanted some waters to start and then we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the bartender to come with waters. Honestly, this level of service is pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourselves. It should not take 35 minutes to get water for potential customers when there is a nozzle behind the counter to dispense water.

It says o the outside of the building that kitchen is open until close which is 2 am. We put our name in at 11:45-12 and they said 25 minutes. Went back to check on our reservation at 12:25 and they said they don’t serve food after 12:30 and had no spot for us. I’m sad and hungry.

I had a great experience at Bar Louie on the North Shore of Pittsburgh on November 4th. The atmosphere is very cool, with a modern vibe that mixes casual and upscale elements. The place is decorated with dark wood furnishings, exposed brick walls, and a large chalkboard menu showcasing specialty cocktails and food items, which adds to the unique feel.
I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders, which had a nice spicy kick, and the side salad, which was fresh but a bit overpriced for the small portion ($3 for a cup size). My dining companion had the Salmon Sliders, which they really enjoyed, along with their own cup size salad. The food was solid, but I'd like to see a bit more value for the price of the sides.
The service was friendly and attentive, and when we visited, the place was quiet, with just a few other customers. It was a Monday, the day before the election, so the timing may have been a factor. The space is great for social gatherings or casual meals, and I can imagine it getting pretty lively during Steelers games, with plenty of TVs surrounding the bar.
What stood out to me was the community-focused approach of Bar Louie. They had a chalkboard sign promoting their "Martini of the Month" program, where $1 from each specialty martini sold is donated to a local hunger charity. I really appreciate when businesses give back to the community.
That said, I did have one minor issue — the men's restroom. There were two urinals, but only one was working, and out of the three wash basins, only one had functioning knobs. Not a big deal, but it could be a problem during busier times.
Overall, I had an enjoyable meal and appreciated the vibe and community support at Bar Louie. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again. It's a great spot to relax with friends, watch a game, or enjoy some good food and drinks. I'll be back!
