Mike's Beer Bar Reviews
Visiting Pittsburgh over the weekend and couldn’t miss our Buckeyes vs TTUN. Mike’s Beer Bar was recommended, and it was hands down one of the best game day bar experiences we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was incredible, drink menu (both on tap and cans) showing a plethora of choices to satisfy anyone, and great food. The staff was second to none and very friendly as well. Already looking forward to our next visit!
Mikes beer bar has great food and great service. He is a big supporter of our veteran organization. His servers are great .
Great place to meet before or after a game or just to hang out for no particular reason at all. Mike is a GREAT guy and always has time to share a chat and some stories. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and never lets your glass get empty. And the food, well, what can I say other than it is the best steak my wife and I have ever had and it’s so much fun cooking it on the stone. The experience alone is worth a stop. The location right across from PNC Park is awesome...read full review

Mike's Beer Bar is a popular spot, especially before Pirates games, so arriving early is recommended. The fried penne alle vodka is unique and tasty, and the tavern cheeseburger is good. The bartenders are helpful with the beer options, which include over 500 choices, with 32 pages of local and various types of beers. Customers can create a mixed six-pack to-go. The menu features hot stone items like scallops, filets, and bone-in pork chops, where guests can manage the level of doneness on their protein, seared to their specifications at the table. The fried halloumi sandwich is also a popular choice, and portions are large with consistently good food.
The restaurant is a lively place to watch a Pittsburgh game, with many screens around the room and fans dressed in team colors, creating an almost stadium-like atmosphere. The vibe is great, especially during sports events, and the service is attentive and friendly. Guests have enjoyed the steak on a stone, finding it very delicious and fun to cook at their table, despite some splatter. The sweet potato fries are also highly recommended. The bartender, manager, and owner are all friendly, and the passion for the restaurant shows. Whether grabbing takeout or dining in, the service remains wonderful for everyone, including families.
