My first time there and the service was worse than I've had anywhere. Forgot our drinks and had to go to the bar and re order them. Waitress never came back for refills, never brought the check, never checked on us once.

First timers from Ohio. I have heard about Jim’s for some time and this week was the time we were finally able to stop in. ….a nice corner neighborhood establishment. An unassuming building. There are a couple steps up to get to the front door and there is a handicap door on the side of the building, which by the way is decorated lovely with some religious items other decorations and flowers. We felt comfortable and welcome immediately. There were others seated in the room to the left and a few people at the bar and a few of the tables in the bar room were filled. We sat in the bar room. Our waitress was Sam-she was pleasant and efficient. Friendly and helpful. We decided on the steak hoagie, small fried fish sandwich and fries…the sandwich bread was fresh and delicious. The steak was cooked well. The fries were fresh cut and served hot and not greasy. The fish was delicious but sadly it was cold. I am kind of a snob when it comes to tartar sauce and while I can’t pinpoint was was missing in theirs it just wasn’t anything beyond “okay” so that was disappointing. When I told the server the fish was cold she immediately offered to take it back and have it re-made but I declined. She felt very bad and really wanted to make it so we would be satisfied and want to return. The portions are very generous. Everything we saw on others tables looked and smelled delicious! We really will be back and soon. Thank You

Food is great, But the service is horrendous. Very Rude. And the place itself is filthy

This is great Italian stop, from meals, sandwiches or salads. You can find something for everyone.

This place hasn't changed in the 20 odd years since I've been back and it's refreshing to see that some things never change..the food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere felt like coming home. I won't be waiting another 20 years to return.

It took me forever to finally make it here but I did and it was awesome like I was told. Old school pittsburgh bar/restaurant with great food. Had a club sandwich, a rueben, and a steak salad. I will be back for sure to try more of the menu.

We had a very enjoyable visit. The food was excellent and affordable. The service was good. The vibe is a true dive bar. There is ample street parking. The French fries are hand cut slices of deliciousness. The sandwiches are huge. The beer selection is good.

We came in at 6 and had a lot of issues as it was busy and we had a new server. They did try to correct the situation and were apologetic. The food we got was rushed but we left full. I would chalk it up to a bad night for them since they mostly get great reviews but not sure I would go out of my way to try again.

Very cozy atmosphere..the food was delicious ! My boyfriend and I split a steak calzone and still had almost half of it to take home. The service was prompt and the servers were super friendly. Will definitely be back.

AMAZING! HUGE portions, high quality food, a real value overall. Homey Yinzer bar, with a restaurant side as well, but also kid friendly. This is the real deal! One of the great parts of moving back home to Pittsburgh- everything is amazing, never change!
