I have been going to this place ever since I moved to Pittsburgh for 3 years and there was a time when I went here everyday (and later I had to move out of the neighborhood 🥹). Aside from the great drinks (Thunderhorse is my favorite), the vibe at this place is lively and full of positivity. I made a lot of friends here for life as well, both amongst the staff and other patrons of this cafe!
You will definitely taste what real espresso is supposed to taste like once you get any drink on their menu!
And if you are like me and heavy metal (along with a heavy metal-ish environment) helps you better focus on a task that requires you to be sitting and staring at the screen for hours, this place is definitely for you!

I always stop here when I’m in the area The coffee is really really tasty and the vibe is really nice and welcoming especially for people who tend to hang around metal and alternative scenes, they’re always playing killer music, bunch of rad pinball machines, and the staff are wicked cool! Grim Wizard is an absolute GEM. Drip coffee is great along with any espresso drink you'll have. Where they shine is their specials & seasonal menu. Always creative and delicious (try the Thunderhorse or the Dragonaut. they're my favs) Local burritos, pastries, and they've just added daily soups! I've been coming here for over a year now regularly and it's really the people that are the best part. Friendly staff & owners that support local artists and want to bring community positives. go here now and support them !!!

I am a regular at Grim Wizard ever since moving to Allentown, and for good reason. The coffee is incredible as well as the pastries and newest addition of soups (and breadsticks ☺️), but the people are what keep me coming back. My favorites are Phoenix, Kat, and Greyson who provide cheery banter no matter the day. If you ever find yourself in the area, treat yourself to an iced Thunderhorse and thank me later 😁

The drinks conjured here are some of the most potent and delicious mana potions I've ever consumed, they fill my moral vessel with enough joy and energy to continue my quests in the forbidden wilds until the moon rises in the sky. The master conjurers that run this establishment are not only wise beyond their years, but are always a welcome sight to see after a hard journey. I will shout the praises for these amazing wizards across the Faerûn. My familiar and I love you guys.

All of the employees are super kind and have great style, and I’ve been blessed to have Phoenix as my barista almost every time, they’re such a beautiful and welcoming person.
