Shared an app, both of us got burgers. Food overall was decent. Service wasn't great. The night wasn't super busy waitress was okay by not exceptional. There was a coupon in the local clip and save that was misleading and because it said free app with an entree and instead of explaining that burgers weren't considered an entree, when we put the coupon on our bill she just ran our card without telling us then told us after she had ran our card, all would been fine had she just told us it wasn't valid then ran the card but felt like it didn't matter to her so she just ran our card. Poor communication and the coupon was misleading. Won't be back.

Always enjoy my visit! The place is cozy (the space is divided up in different rooms of the “house”) and the service is always super friendly.
The spinach and artichoke dip (with fried pita chips) is one of the best dips I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I’ve tried a variety of burgers and pizzas, and the “artichoke the chicken” is one of my favorites. The duck fat fries are delicious, but the regular fries are as equally good without the added cost.
All in all, highly recommend!

My wife and I visiting Brick and Barrel this past Saturday for the first time and I wanted to leave an honest review of our experience.
Our first impression was mixed. We really liked the actual home vibe, reminded us of North Country Brewing, which we love. However, once inside, the lack of a hostess and just standing and waiting for someone to acknowledge and seat us was not what we were expecting.
Once seated, the server was quite pleasant and we were able to put in our drink orders. Man, the whiskey and bourbon selection was off the charts! The drinks were top notch and worth every penny. I would go back just for the drinks and not think twice.
We then ordered our meals. We started with the mussels and each had a different sandwich, my wife had the filet and I had the motherclucker.
A few constuctive tips for upping the quality of the mussels. Allow the leeks and garlic in the cream a bit longer to better infuse the flavor. I would also add a pinch of salt/pepper and allow for a bit more reduction in the cream to thicken up a bit more. Overall, the quality and quanity was worth the cost and I highly recommend them.
My wife really enjoyed her filet sandwich. The doneness of the steak was perfect and the flavor was spot on. The motherclucker was ok, not great, but not bad. I would have liked a bit more of the mayo, as it was delicious. In retrospect, I wish I would have tried one of the pizzas as they looked amazing.
Where I was most disappointed was with the duck fat fries. First, using frozen french fries was a turnoff, but that is a personal preference. I could not taste any difference between my duck fat fries and my wifes plain fries. The only noticiable difference was the dusting of parm and green onions. I would most likely opt for the cheese and bacon fries next time as these were not worth the upcharge.
Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner and a place I would visit again, just would go a different direction with what I had to eat.

A memorable meal! American classics done creatively and beautifully - but that doesn't do them justice. The burger & fries I got was a roller coaster ride of flavors & textures. So much care in every detail of ingredients. The bourbon cocktail I got was superb, really complimented the flavor of bourbon. I'm probably going to go back tomorrow, pressing my nose on the window waiting for them to open.
And yes, it's a lovely historic building, cozy rooms, with gracious hospitality.
Thank you B&B!
