Great experience for all of us as it was our first time. Ambiance, service, food, drinks etc was amazing! We will absolutely be back. I would recommend Butterjoint to many and will be back!
One of the hidden gems of Pittsburgh. Great place to go for dinner, business meetings or a special event.
I booked a reservation at Butterjoint because I knew the food would be good and I was hopeful the noise level would be manageable enough to catch up with a friend coming to Pittsburgh from out of state. The food is a little on the pricey side, but it's reliably delicious, the menu caters to varying interests/diets and hunger levels, and the overall value of the experience is well worth the price!
Great evening at Butterjoint, fab cocktails, delicious shares, and great burgers. Our server, Lydia, was Fantastic! Thanks for making a lovely evening even better with your service!
Staff staff staff..... these days there's almost nothing else more important. Does the staff give a damn. Can they give you the feeling they like what they do . Know their stuff . Butterjoint top to bottom feels like a crew led and inspired. Always happy to be there
Coctails are world class and service was supper attentive but not overbearing. Get a table in the bar!
Everyone is so warm and welcoming. Lydia our server is outstanding. They remember who you are. Looking forward to our next time.
Butterjoint is one of my favorite places to dine in Pittsburgh. The menu is always innovative and the service consistently top level. My recent dinner there did not disappoint. Highly recommend.
First time and the buzz is real! Our server educated us on various dishes and locally sourced produce. Our cocktails came just after our appetizer and without missing a beat the manager said- sometimes the cart comes before the horse-:) The Shashuka appetizer was huge, could use 2 crumpets to soak every delicious bit of sauce. Brunch burger was cooked to perfection and pierogis and sausage dish was full and comforting - took most of it home! No room for dessert but couldn't resistant getting the muffin if the day to go. Will definitely be back to try other dishes!
What a nice brunch! Bacon a tad overdone but other than that delicious. Will be back. Wish you could directly order specialty coffee from next door - had to leave the table to get a latte and the line was too long. Like many establishments they were a bit short staffed but we were in no hurry.

Excellent ambiance, food, and service. Wait staff stopped by often to make sure everything was ok and ask if we needed anything.
This was by far one of f the best dining experiences I've had in some time. I reserved a table for 5 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. When we arrived 10 minutes early, the gentleman greeted us and took us directly to a lovely oversized booth. Exceptional staff who were friendly, knowledgeable and on point. We ordered appetizers, various things from the menu from salads, to the pierogies, French onion soup, entrees, and dessert. Everything was excellent. It is a scratch kitchen so we enjoyed a leisurely evening. Is you have not visited... What are you waiting for? 5 star from this finicky diner.
An upscale-casual and inviting atmosphere. Our schedule service was excellent from the host, to our waiter, to other support staff helping to bring food, clean the table, or give advice. The food itself was familiar yet unique with a variety of flavors and textures. We will absolutely return when back in Pittsburgh.
Always a tremendous experience!! The food is fantastic and the service is top notch....cant say enough about this local gem!
This is an option for Sunday brunch, in Oakland, with outdoor seating, friendly staff and a reasonably priced menu.
