Wonderful wonderful people who run this place, so friendly and the chef is next level. He prepares everything by hand. He’s vegan but yet still makes amazing meat based foods. Not to mention the vegan food taste like meat itself! Try the Seth if you like a hot sausage sandwich. You won’t be disappointed.
After reading all of the glowing reviews for this place, I am honestly extremely disappointed with my experience. The service was slow, I waited almost 45 mins for my to-go order. The coffee was just okay, and my sandwich was so hard my jaw hurt…

We love our trips to Cafe 412! John and Amy are so warm and inviting. The food is amazing and the coffee is great. The atmosphere, artwork, and cozy feel is a big plus too. Great for a simple date, study session, or just everyday lunch!

Cafe 412 West End - Pittsburgh is one of the top three breakfast and lunch experiences in town. Great Vibe, Clean, Great Service and the food is very good. Great healthy options too. Michelle is the very best and John Cavano - Owner employs a great, quality team.

Great coffee, excellent staff and delicious food.
I just returned home from tonight’s Pop Up Dinner @Cafe412, and once again was reminded why I have never missed any of them…it was phenomenal! An incredible four course meal (salad, appetizer, entree, dessert), fresh selection of bread and a full coffee menu. Did I mention that it was only $39/guest? I sampled an array of delicious food…Braciole, Tuscan Romano Chicken, Eggplant Parmesan, Rigatoni w/marinara and Meatballs. The dessert options included Cannolis, Triple Chocolate Cake and Affogato. Did I mention that it was only $39/guest? Guest? More like family. The owners, John & Amy are always so welcoming, attentive and appreciative of seeing both new and returning friends. Our table side friend, Michelle was absolutely fabulous, personable and paced the courses perfectly. We never felt rushed, but rather encouraged to enjoy each course to its fullest. If you missed this event, you missed a lot. Be sure to stop in Monday through Saturday and enjoy the daily menu too!!! Thank You Amy, John, Michelle & Staff ❤️

The ricotta toast with pistachios and honey was a terrific combination! I highly recommend it if the ingredients sound good to you. Pastries look delicious. Holly and Noel do a great job serving and cooking; both are very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is lean and diner-like, but comfortable with plenty of seating.

GREAT place & friendly owners! Came back to Pittsburgh for a family event & stayed at an AirBnB close by. Luck of the draw and we ended up here, but we were glad that we did!!! Amy and John were wonderfully nice and our breakfast was AWESOME. My wife got a Belgian Waffle and I had a Cuban sandwich for breakfast. Both were really good! After talking with them for a few minutes we felt like we were "regulars" there. Good job!

Well, I hadn’t been to this neighbourhood before, but I made the trip just for this cafe, and I have to say it was totally worth it. I went on a Friday at around 1 PM, which is just an hour before the closing time, and I was the only customer in the entire cafe. The cafe is pretty large with a lot of seating and there are a couple of chairs outdoor as well If you want to grab a coffee outside. The decor is pretty standard and somewhat boring, and I guess this cafe is not something one would consider instagramable. However, I wasn’t really here for the aesthetics. What makes this cafe stand out for me is purely the hospitality. The lady who took my order was the sweetest lady ever and she was extremely nice and welcoming. I ordered a latte and an Italian Panini. The latte was pretty good, but again, nothing extraordinary. The sandwich, however, was stunning. The ratio of meat to bread to sauce was perfect, and this was one of the better Italian sandwiches. I have had in the city so far. There was also a gentleman in the cafe who I am presuming is the co-owner, and he was also extremely nice and asked for my feedback about the sandwich. In a time in age, when we are having less and less conversations with other humans and more conversations with our phones, I found it really special that they made the effort to have a conversation with me and make me feel comfortable and welcome. I’ll definitely be back again and try some other items from their Panini menu.

An amazing coffee shop. This is the best cold brew and drip coffee I’ve had in the city. The snacks are pretty good too.
