Located in the quieter parts of the buzzing Butler Street, this place is perfect to grab your daily fix of caffeine. It's a woman-run business and the baristas are some of the sweetest people I have come across. I had the lavender latte that was exquisite with the floral lavender notes and not too sweet which was perfect for me. The cafe is airy and bright and there's plenty of seating so you can get some work done while sipping on your coffee.

Cute coffee shop in Lawrenceville. Great selection of coffee and teas as well as baked goods. I think there was an additional food menu available too, but I only stopped in for a coffee. The crowd seemed to be a mix of first dates and people studying/working. Overall, my exact kind of vibe for a coffee shop - will be back!

I've been getting coffee here since it was in it's old location and love it. The preserves and ancho hot cocoa mix and amazing too. Coffee is always perfect and the baked goods and soups are top notch.

Can't complain about the coffee, it's pretty good and the maple latte is fun if you feel like something on the sweeter side. A great location in Lawrenceville close to my house so it's easy to stop in for coffee on foot. If you're driving, parking can be tough. The staff however, is just so unpleasant. I have never had such bad experiences at the same place repeatedly. I am not a demanding customer by any means, but every time I order i feel like I'm inconveniencing the barista. The last time I went to order she made eye contact with me and then went back to her phone. I was standing there for quite sometime before saying "excuse me may i place an order" only to be met with an exasperated sigh and an eye roll that was meant to be seen. I know everyone has bad days, but i keep getting the same service from this barista and it's just not worth dealing with for a latte.

If you have to charge your laptop, there's not enough outlets to charge your laptop especially if the other tables are occupied (on the weekends) and this is the case especially if you have to sit at the counter top table in the back. They won't let you unplug the humidifier that's constantly on. Saw a really passive aggressive/aggressive note right next to the outlet today that said "Nope. You do not have permission to unplug". Suffice to say won't go back since there's no guarantee I will be able to actually charge my laptop when I need to.

I have been here more than 20 times. Over the past several years have made a deliberate effort to visit coffeehouses throughout Pittsburgh including de fer, KLVN, espresso a mano. Overall I like d'amore more than all other coffeehouses/cafes I have visited in Pittsburgh. Here are some pros/cons of Caffe d'Amore: Pros: +Espresso drinks are consistently exceptional (props to the baristas and product sourcing). +Seating is comfortable, quirky, tasteful, and not designed to shorten your stay. +Music is not too loud to be able to block it out if you are working (often egregious at other cafes). +They clearly care about supporting local business, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and minimizing waste. +Food and treat options are above average. Cons: -There is one not very good barista, doesn't seem to work a ton.

The coffee is great! Tasty and delish. Unfortunately, I've been here a few times and have interacted with some staff who had a rude and tepid response with the customers. I'm a strong believer in being kind costs $0.00, and some of the employees have nasty attitudes for no reason ‍ whatevs.

Good (ok) food. But please, how about some manners! I have been multiple times. No greeting. No, "may I help you?" No "thank you." A slight disdain. But this is what I have come to experience with some of the shops and cafes in Lawrenceville - trendy and cool, yes, just light on manners and customer service.Great vegan cookies, though!

I’m a bit of a coffee snob and this place far exceeded my expectation. I stopped in on a whim, it’s nice it’s down further on Butler and a off the crazy busy stretch. I easily found parking. I got a salted caramel iced latte and chai, both were amazing. The salted caramel flavoring was perfect- didn’t have that alcohol taste that syrups/flavorings often do. Im kicking myself for not getting a larger size. I will definitely be making a note to go back. Super nice it’s close to Butterwood which is one of my favorite bakeries.
