Place needs bar rescue. Cold pierogis, flat soda, no ice in my drink, slow service. Mediocre pizza. No wonder the place was so empty

Came for lunch. The chicken wings were delicious.

I like their food a lot. Their draft beer is largely from Dough Daddy’s brewery; I used to like the variety before that. Servers are great. The chairs are HORRIBLY uncomfortable.

Caliente has really gone downhill over the years…or possibly it’s just this location. The food was okay—the pizza was certainly nothing special and our “garlic parm fries” were flavorless with some grated parmesan lazily sprinkled atop. The absolute worst part of the experience was picking up our order! The blonde woman with glasses working tonight was beyond rude. I feel like my worst enemy would’ve given me a better customer service experience. I’ll probably never go back to this location.

This business uses Door Dash. DO NOT GET DELIVERY IF THEY OFFER (Warn they use) DOOR DASH!!! Over 2 hours before my order was even picked up!!!! Management gave me credit. Just be aware. Door Dash is horrible! Also, if you do, take the pay cash on delivery option (Exact change) do not pay through the message link door dash sends you. If you cancel, you will never get your money back. Door Dash also does not give you an opportunity to rate or get customer service using their links.

We used to love Caliente's. I'm not sure if it is just the Mt. Lebo location or if they have all changed a little but their large pizza seems a little smaller and their toppings have become less and less. We love the Motor City madness and that one seems to be consistent but any other pizza i.e. space balls or Luca brasi are not as good as they used to be. Maybe a different location would be more consistent and better.

I placed a simple order at 9:15pm on a Thursday night and paid over the phone. I then got a DoorDash notification (they enlisted DoorDash, not me) at 9:50pm that the food would arrive by 10:05pm (5 minutes away). I got another notification that it was delayed until 10:15pm, I called the store at 10:35pm at which point they checked to verify my order hadn’t left their store and it hadn’t. The “customer service fanatic” assured me that it would leave within 10 minutes when the next delivery driver came through. 5 minutes before they were closing (10:55pm) I called back to again see what was going on, the “customer service fanatic” told me he would bring my food to me himself within 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, my food finally arrived (2 hours after I ordered). This particular review is regarding the Bloomfield location, it sucks. Do not consider it for delivery, or honestly any orders because they clearly do not care about their customers. It is a shame they have the means to buy their way into ad campaigns with local organizations because they are a piss poor establishment. They should refrain from calling anyone on their team “customer service fanatics” because that couldn’t be further from the truth. My hospitalized, pregnant wife would have probably wrote an even harsher review. Truly pathetic.

Wanted to try something new, but was extremely disappointed tonight. Service was slow (waited 45 minutes.) The food we got wasn’t worth the wait at all. I’m not going to diss as I want all businesses to succeed, but ya’ll need to overhaul everything to do so.

I gave this place two chances to impress me and both times were a let down. The first time the food was just cold and disappointing, and the balsamic vinegar salad dressing was way too tangy, and I like the tang of balsamic a lot. This last time, I paid an extra $3.24 for pineapple to be put on my large Velma pizza and not only did I not get pineapple, I didn’t get the fresh basil that comes with the pizza and my pizza was very poorly cut. Additionally, the gave me a HUGE amount of oil and vinegar for my small side salad, which was wilted and only had two cherry tomatoes in it. The cucumbers didn’t seem very fresh either. Next time I’ll wait the three hours for my favorite place to open, because this was NOT worth it. What was supposed to be my comfort food for a very bad day just added to the badness of my day. I also think they charge way too much for extra toppings. Several dollars PER TOPPING, are you kidding me?? Even looking at the small size pizza in the delivery app, each extra topping is $2.75. Outrageous. In summary, the best part of my order was the 2-liter or Dr. Pepper I ordered. Never again. There’s way better pizza out there.

Update..tried again Sept 2024..seems like this is the norm for French fries..Burnt to a crisp? Inedible! Usually order loaded fries with pulled pork and fries have been this burnt but still edible. This time just ordered a side of fries and still received burnt fries. Is this the norm? Couldn't eat ..had to throw away!

Pizza was ok today. Hoagie didnt have what was described and was burnt. French fries..not sure what happened but came in a small bowl and were all different sizes and shapes and undercooked! Not sure how the waitress could have served that to us! Service was slow as well, however place was full. The waitress said there was a new fry cook, but still no excuse for sub par food and service. A disappointment!

Love the pizza, however delivery service is awful. It's been over 2 hours from the time I placed the call. Actually still waiting. I have had delivery issues in the past but thought I would give it another try. Sorry I did. No more delivery for us. Pick up only.

The pizza was fabulous. I was kinda bummed with the cheese bread sticks. They definitely looked better online but overall everything was yummy. I really enjoyed their house Italian dressing.

Great pizza, calzones and appetizers. Service was on point, though if I had to point anything out, the calzone came out 10 minutes after the rest of the food. Not really an issue, but worth mentioning. Would recommend again for sure
