Everything was great! We really enjoyed ourselves very relaxed environment and the food/service was great! Especially the meatball appetizer!!
The drinks were great! The Irish Coffee was our favorite. The Waygu Bolognese was decent but the catfish was terrible.
My husband and I went for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The food was amazing as well as the service.
Had a reservation and had no problem getting seated. Service was slow but it didn't seem too busy even for a Saturday evening. The first two appetizers we ordered were out of stock. The 3rd choice we made was the potato pancakes. We waited 15 minutes for those and they came out cold. Not warm, cold. We sent them back and they were taken off of our bill. Our entrees took awhile but they came out hot. Our server was apologetic for the appetizer mess but made it right by comping us a free drink. 6/10
Great bar atmosphere but a little crowded space and the high top dining there feels a cramped add on. Food was decent but pricey. Service slow.
The ambiance was amazing. Great drink list with a lot of options. However, our food was cold and they delivered two out of four meals (cold) and 10 minutes later they brought the other two meals (also cold). Services were ok, not great.
Pearl was outstanding and very accommodating. Definitely a great asset to the establishment.
Have been to the bar at Carmella's many times to sample the unrivaled Whiskey and Bourbon selection. Last night we ate in dinning room which featured dark wood and stained glass windows a welcoming atmosphere.Service was top notch with the food to match Pesto risotto with heirloom tomatoes and shrimp hit the spot and my wife's Cacio e pepe ( which she shared a bit) was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Overall a great experience!
Food and service were great! Everything came out pretty quick and servers were very attentive. Cocktails and wine list were great.
This was such a fun vibe. Love music, high top bar seating, casual atmosphere. Drinks and food were amazing. Don't skip the Steak and Frites!

Overall a good experience. It started out rough as we got seated and nobody came to our table for 25 minutes. The server came over and apologized for the mix up and got everything we order out ASAP. We then has an issue with one of the meals we ordered and the manager got us our another meal within 5 minutes. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. It was so delicious. The music floating in from the bar was too loud in my opinion, but it stopped around 9:30. We would definitely go back after the delicious food and how they handled any inconvenience. Great restaurant!
What can we say about Carmella's? We try to visit at least four times/yearly, and when Carm published the Restaurant Week Menu, we HAD to visit. From the champagne to our cocktails, the bar was fast, even on a busy Friday, and the old-fashioned is the smoothest in town. The duck and plum pierogi was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Dessert was indulgent and the coffee is the best cup in Pittsburgh. As always, Elizabeth and I were truly grateful to Carm, to our server, and to the kitchen for making a Friday Date Night an exceptional experience.
Went for restaurant week. Ambiance was lovely, warm and cozy without feeling cluttered or too dark. Cocktails were excellent. Food was only ok— some plates were excellent, the rest had impressive looks but did not deliver on flavor. Portion sizes varied heavily across the main plates. Service was kind and attentive. Would come back for drinks at bar seating.
There was a large eggshell in our food. When the manager came out with a new one, she made a flippant comment about it like you know how it is, they're just flying around back there. That's unacceptable. It's literally their job to make sure safe food is served.
Good food, had a small table that was a shared space and would have preferred a full table to ourselves
