I was literally just in there. Went in at 12:17pm and waited 10 minutes to order. After placing the order we waited for almost an hour before we asked to be refunded. Also, the guy in the front doesn’t know what is on the menu. I asked for a turkey leg this mentally challenged individual told me the turkey legs only come stuffed. Bad experience all around. I will never be back. I will also be telling everyone I know not to eat here.

What can I say? I love Carmi Express! Seriously some of the best ribs in Pittsburgh. The shrimp and grits is wonderful too. You can’t go wrong with any of their side dishes including yams, greens and baked beans. For a taste that will blow your mind enjoy the baked beans on the Carmi Express cornbread and you will thank me later.So happy to have this little piece of Heaven in the neighborhood!

I dont know why I keep ordering from here. It's almost like they give you whatever they feel like regardless of what you actually order. EVERY SINGLE TIME I've ordered anything it's always wrong and the food is just "ok" at best. They pay absolutely no attention to what they're doing or how they pack your food. I'm tired of wasting my money at places like this where the workers either don't pay attention, don't know how to read, or just don't give a f*ck.

I ordered smoked chicken wings, greens, sweet potatoes and cornbread. The wings were dry and not seasoned the sweet potatoes were cooked to a mush the birds didn't eat the cornbread. Expensive meal three wings for 21.00 greens were 6.00 not included with the meal. I had high hopes the server was nice. I would not suggest going here
the most expensive disappointment ever. best part is at the end.Spent $90 on three meals, and cornbread.$20 for a brisket combo, the brisket was so dry you needed water, and maybe 4-5 forkfuls. the yams looked like cafeteria food.$25 for meatloaf combo (i got an extra side) the meatloaf came with no gravy. they instead gave me 2 dry inedible meatballs. already couldnt eat my meal.$25 for friend chicken tenders - they were not fried. they were tough. and they were baked. seasoning at least was okay on it, it was at least edible with some store bought sauce on the side.the ONLY good tasting thing out of everything here was the greens, and the mac and cheese was alright. and that is the only thing i ate, out of the $90 spent.Here is the best part:Paid like $5-6 for delicious looking honey topped cornbread. Never received it, instead, I got a ton of cold smashed walmart slider buns that were literally just thrown into the delivery bag. I would've rather I just not get anything honestly.Sucks, cause i've been eyeing this place for years and heard great things, I'm hoping this is just the northshore location, because this was the worst

Came into town from Texas for business and decided to look for some good food. It was around 12:30 lunch time. My son found this restaurant and wanted to try it. I agreed, we walked in and my first impression was OH NO THIS LOOKS CLUTTERED AND UNHEALTHY, stuff was EVERYWHERE !!! I said to my son let’s go, however he insisted on trying the food. I ordered Chicken and Dumpling Soup they were out. I then ordered another soup and again, they were out. So I settled for some Meat Loaf with Mashed Potatoes. My son ordered the Shrimp and Grits. We were told that the Shrimp and Grits would take about 10 minutes. We walked across the street to the library and waited (being that they only had 1 chair in the restaurant. Nowhere for customers to sit and eat their meal). We returned for our food as I decided to order a green vegetable so I ordered the Mixed Greens. We left and sat in the car to eat our meal. I tasted the greens first. The greens were so bitter and grimy. I looked at my son and said “I knew it”! I proceeded to try the meatloaf and it was still pink in the middle. The mashed potatoes were cold so I decided, “I’m not eating this”. My son took the layers and layers of Seran Wrap of the shrimp and grits. He opened the container and it was covered in GREASE!! The grease covered the entire top of the food! He refuse to even try it. We trashed all that food. It costed me $39.59 a TOTAL WAIST! I was so upset I think I trashed the food but I was able to find both receipt. This was such a disappointment.

I was in the city this weekend & gave this spot a chance.I ordered: BBQ Pork Sandwich, 4 fried wings w/ Mac n cheese & seafood salad.Wife: smoked pork ribs w potatoe salad.Food was good, hit the spot! We didn’t have the pleasure of tasting the “potato salad or seafood salad” b/c the server forgot & I didn’t check my bag.I called to see if we could be accommodated for this error. A lady called the next day saying come get those two sides. That was very respectable service ;-)I would eat here again, but hopefully they get a bigger spot to dine in.
