Food was excellent. Service was very good. On street parking was not difficult to find and there was no wait on a Sunday around lunch.

First time visit and we can’t wait to return to try all the things we couldn’t fit in this time. We shared three entrees off the Traditional menu: Double-cooked Pork Belly w/ Black Bean Chili, Mapo Tofu and Sichuan Beef Noodles (Dry). We enjoyed the variety and rich flavors of all three but the pork belly was probably my favorite of the night.
Service was very friendly and attentive. I appreciated that the host explained the different menus since it was our first time in and clarified the order with us for accuracy. We love spicy food so we can’t wait to grab some takeout noodles for a cold night!

Delicious Chinese Sichuan food! I love this place, it feels like I’m having meals at a family’s home. Ingredients are quality and their spices kick azz. Food can be hot 🥵 in a delightful way. Service and ambient are chill and friendly. Some of my faves are cumin lamb, mapo tofu, sichuan pepper prawn, cold jelly & cukes w green sauce.

We ordered a vegetarian Pad Thai & crispy chicken with the sichuan peppers. The food was amazing and exactly what I was looking for. FINALLY! Authentic Chinese!

We brought 11 people together to celebrate a birthday and the staff of Chengdu Gourmet in Squirrel Hill made it very special! From the wonderful food to the staff’s patience with so many people, to taking pictures of our group, I can’t say enough about how wonderful their entire team was! We will definitely be going back!

Atmosphere is a bit bleak but good food. If it weren't so greasy it would be 5*. Service was impeccable however.

Got some takeaway on a quiet evening. Food was ready in <20mins, hot, delicious (and when promised, spicy). I went with all traditional Chinese dishes and was not disappointed. Will go again for sure.

Food doesn’t taste like it’s cooked the same day or the chef is just messing around lol. It’s even worse when we complained and the owner had a hella bad attitude.

Good food, solid prices
If you’re looking for something with a little heat, the Kung Pao Chicken hits the spot just spicy enough without going overboard. The Chicken Lo Mein is fire too full of flavor and not greasy like some places.
We’ve tried a few spots around Squirrel Hill, and this is the best one so far between Murray and Forward. Good food, good portions, and fair prices. Definitely our go to now.

Food was good. The establishment could use some renovations. I felt the staff hovered too much.
Great little spot for authentic szechuan
The best sushi in Pittsburgh!
