I’ve been coming to China Buffet King for years, literally since I was a kid. It’s always been one of my go-to spots, and I’ve always loved the food and the memories tied to this place. But today was different, and honestly, I’ve never experienced service like this here before.
When I first walked in, no one greeted me. I stood at the front for a bit waiting, while two tables finished eating and went up to pay. Eventually, I asked the lady at the front if I should wait to be seated or just seat myself. She told me to seat myself, so I did.
After I sat down, got my food, and started eating. Still no one came by to take my drink order, bring napkins, or even acknowledge me. The restaurant was practically empty, maybe two other tables had people. So there was no reason for the lack of attention. I finally stopped someone cleaning tables to ask who I should talk to for a drink, and he said he’d get it. Meanwhile, the lady at the front, who told me to seat myself, watched me sit, eat, and never once sent anyone over to check on me.
Then, as I’m sitting there, a white family walks in. She greets them instantly, “Hi, how are you?” Walks them to their table, and takes their drink order right away. Then a white couple comes in, same thing. Then another white customer, again, greeted and seated immediately.
As the only African American person in the restaurant, I can’t pretend that didn’t stand out to me. The difference in how I was treated compared to everyone else was obvious and honestly really hurtful.
I ended up getting up with a full plate of food and told the gentleman at the register I was ready to check out. As I was explaining why I was upset and that I didn’t feel like coming back after this, his response was, “You don’t have to come back.”
That response said it all.
I never thought I’d leave a review like this for a place I’ve loved since childhood, but the way I was treated today was unacceptable and incredibly disappointing.

Everytime I go there it's a nice and lovely environment, the food itself pushes the barrier everything is fully cooked and tastes amazing 😍, this is definitely a place I will always love to come back to.

Took more than 15 minutes to get our drinks after coming back to the table from the buffet. There are only 3 or 4 other tables with customers, this should have been a clue. It is dinner time and most of the choices are visibly old. No white rice or lo mein except what is stuck to the bottom of pan. With very few appetizing dishes I should have left but I chose a couple things that looked fresh only to realize it was old food covered in extra sauce, too hard to chew. I waited and waited for something new to come out. Nothing did. Nearly $40 for 2 people. Last time for me.

Great chinese buffet for the price although buffet items do not change. Best price is lunch buffet before 2:00 pm with dinner pricier with added items including roast beef, salmon, coconut shrimp and prawns.

Staff was really nice.
There was a good amount of people in there and it was clean.
Food wasn't by any means good. Partner and I tried all sorts of food, and most if not all of it, was dry and room temperature at best.
Maybe we caught them on a off/bad day but wont be back.
Service was very friendly, staff was actively refilling, stirring, and cleaning the buffet.
The food was okay, minor gripe being the texture of some of the chicken offerings with sauce. The hot & sour soup was great, but the fried noodles were unfortunately stale.
There was a sign that they needed staff, and perhaps more staff would resolve these issues. It was extremely hot today, and it was cool & dry inside the restaurant, which was great. Drinks were ice cold and refills were offered often.
The price was $36 for two people and drinks, which is a tad high given the quality of the restaurant.
Overall - not bad, but not the best, and I hope they can resolve these complaints.
If I could give a 0, I would. I walked in there excited, expecting something decent with 4 stars. But I grabbed a plate and didn’t put anything down faster—this place was a complete joke. Peanut butter chicken??? Hard mac and cheese that looked terrible and absolutely not edible. Do not waste your time or money on this disaster.

Pretty decent Chinese buffet on noblestown. When I went it was lunch time, and basically everything that would be considered edible was empty on the buffet. After waiting for approx 20 mins the food was refilled, but did take up much of my lunch break. Food was ok, not exceptional, but buffets never are. May be worth checking out. Follow for more...
I went on a Tuesday evening around 6.
The majority of the food was 3/4th empty.
I tried a handful of different kinds and they were not even warm.
The gentleman asked if he could help and I said, well all the food is cold. Another lady came running over and pointed out the full, hot, and fresh chicken they just put out. Obviously, yes, that will be fine. I pointed out the rest of the buffet that was not. They offered to make anything I wanted. I stated you can't make the entire buffet. The guy followed me back to my seat and apologized. He said he's been in the food industry for a long time and only helps when he can and keeps telling them that in order to keep a buffet business, you need to keep things going and fresh. I didn't pay for the few bites I had but left a more than generous tip and wished they did better next time.
Great variety of food. Salmon during the dinner hour was delicious! Lots of salad items meats all delicious! Nice cake, ice cream desserts. Jello.
The buffet is well worth the price and the service was also good.
