Great service and excellent food. Unique pours that you won't find anywhere else! We were part of a group for our first time there and had a great experience at the bar. Our second time included a small private party with an intimate dining experience. Both times were met with top notch service and everyone was blown away by the quality of the food. There is something for everyone!

The restaurant staff here is fantastic and the food is fantastic. On my second visit to the bar the staff had already committed me to memory and made the experience incredibly enjoyable.

Came here as a hotel guest for breakfast and in the evening for a night cap and desert.
Service in the kitchen is veeeery slow, even when there is no business.
Ordered yoghurt with fruits/ granola for breakfast for $12.
Got a small water glass with yoghurt on the bottom followed by a layer of fruit and granola, impossible to eat or mix in that glass. So i had to spoon it onto a plate. Overall a very small portion for that price.
Service was very slow both times and curt.

The food was okay, the service was poor. It took me 10 minutes to be greeted while there were multiple staff working and it wasn't busy I was one of maybe five customers in there at the time.

Ordered room service at the Joinery and highly disappointed in what I received for the price. I noted "gluten free" in my order notes but received two large slices of toast tossed on top of the rest of the food. Requested over hard eggs (an option in the room service app) but received runny yolks which were also cold. To top it all off, it was delivered in a paper takeout box with cheap plastic utensils - the grease soaked through the box onto the table. This was certainly not as advertised by the Joinery or the Christian James Restaurant and I won't be ordering from here again. Very poor quality for the price.

If you are considering going here, do not do it. You can get way better food at a gas station. I have no clue how this place is still in business. To make matters worse it had to be 80 degrees in there last night. It’s a good thing they only had 3 tables there last night to suffer through the heat and terrible food. I feel bad for the poor service staff that has to work there. Can’t be easy to work at a place that serves that bad of food and does almost zero business. I never leave bad reviews, but I’m hoping this might save someone from having an experience like mine. If I could have given it zero stars I would have.

We went in for breakfast. After some wait after ordering we were informed they were out of eggs but were getting some soon. We agreed to wait a while longer, which turned in to be so long we left without eating. Also, the drink prices were ridiculously high. Poor experience in every respect.

Do not eat here. Absolutely terrible food.

This was by far the most disappointing meal I've ever had. The fact that this place was completely empty when we got there was a major red flag. We were 1 of a total of 3 tables that decided to eat there between 730 & 900 on a Saturday night. I feel bad for the poor servers that have to work there. To make matters worse, it had to be 80 degrees in there. The French guy who “runs the place” was actually wearing a sleeveless undershirt. I have had much better food at gas stations. No clue how this place is still open.

It was empty. We went to roof to have a drink only to see on a spectacular evening- no people, no bar. We went back down and got drinks. Bartenders are not skilled at all. My flat bread pizza had breakfast sausage on it. The staff is disorganized and it's really a shame. The other dinners were just ok. Feel bad just saying “don't go” but time and money are valuable and this is just a place that needs to come and go quickly.

So interesting.... I liked this place when I saw it online. I like the ambiance a lot. Great design and cool concept. Walk in at night for dinner. And I love the music. (Deep blues). Long story short, the service ended up being poor. There were 3 servers and only 5 tables. So IDK what happened. I didnt get 1 of the drinks I ordered. My bill took a long time to come. But then this other server saved it and gave my 1 drink on the house for the mistake. The food was good. Ready quickly surprisingly. Hope they improve.

Gabby and Sydney are absolutely amazing. Recommended places to go and see. , with local info insider tips. Complete dolls by far my favorite bartenders in Pitt. This is my new favorite go to hotel.... thanks girls!

Sydney and Gabby were great! Our service was fantastic and the food was super tasty. Every time I come to Pittsburgh for work I stop by here for dinner. Very convenient when staying at the hotel. Stop by here if you are looking for a great bite!
