Don’t miss this delicious Greek eatery. Been there for 50 years. The owner is gregarious and full of great stories.
Don’t order take out from here.
Food overall: 6/10
Ordered delivery: packaging was 2/10
Ordered teramasalata, they sent hummus. !?!)
Great authentic Greek restaurant in a vibrant downtown street, the theater district, with a very cosy ambience. The service was homely and the food was delicious. Loved how they offered personal family recipes like the lemon potatoes. It’s great for vegetarians.
We have been customers on and off for the past three years. The good and service are Great in this family owned and operated business. The owner himself seats customers is a great host. The food is authentic Greek fare from pita bread hummus ...Greek Lemoñ soup ...and gyros. The walls are covered with family photos and it's truly a special place. Unfortunately such businesses are vanishing in favor of restaurant chains. Visit...eat and drink and enjoy!
This restaurant has served me some of the best food I've ever eaten. Every item on the cold appetizer platter was a hit, although the tabouleh might be a turn-off for some, since it has something akin to mint in it. The Greek and Onassis coffees were both good (I'm not a huge coffee guy so I'm not the best reviewer for those). I got the Stifaho for my main course, it was similar to a beef stew, and was delicious. The Onassis cake was the definitive highlight! Such a delicate yet sweet treat, like nothing else I've ever had.
Everything about our experience was excellent
Excellent greek authentic place and shrine for Jackie O!
Everyone was incredible, some of the best Greek food I've had at extremely reasonable prices. I ate here everyday of my trip, and will be back next time!

Surprisingly good food.
They make their own wine, both red and white.
We tried gyros and Mediterranean fish.

Authentic Turkish inspired Mediterranean dishes. Walking distance to the duquesne bridge. Service was a bit slow but the order was accurate. The babaganoush was excellent as an appetizer.

Food was good--chicken nicely prepared and moist but not much in spice and flavor. You think you are sitting down for a meal that is reasonably priced but watch the things they add on you may not be aware of--such as a few potato wedges that they charge $3.50 that are mediocre. Service is slow. Solution: Hire someone to help Christos who runs around trying to take care of customers. The best thing about the place is the quaintness of the restaurant. Reminds you of something in the 1940s

Best authentic Greek food I have had here or in Greece. It's just like my grandmother made every summer there.

I am visiting Pittsburgh and was craving for good coffee and desert. Went to Christos… wow what an amazing small cozy restaurant. Food , warmth, service and gentlemen there were amazingly pleasant and welcoming. I went back ti have dinner and my fav Jackie O coffee and desert. I enjoyed sitting there feeling like I am somewhere in Europe far away from the city in peaceful place. Food was delicious ❤️. Thank you will come again!!!!

There are hidden upcharges and all the seemingly free things they bring to you without asking are extremely expensive. This was not a good experience and led to the night being ruined
