Went for the buffet. Everything I tried was just phenomenal. The price for a buffet may seem a bit high, but seeing as you can get mango lassi with it...

The food was absolutely delicious! The goat curry was awesome, fish fry was very good, and the biryani was flavorful. The chicken starter was also very nice. Totally enjoyed the food and had a great dining experince.

Hastina made our wedding events incredible! They went all out, perfectly handling our no-onion, no-garlic diet with food that wowed everyone. The dishes were amazing, the service was top-notch, and their effort made our events unforgettable even for our guests. Absolutely recommend!

Our sangeet and wedding catering was done by Hastina. I couldn’t be happier with their service. They went above and beyond to make everything go seamlessly. They were extremely accommodating to everything that we asked for. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food and their service was. I can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for catering services for a large group of people.

Amazing food. Authentic South Indian taste. Great ambience, great service and ample space for our party of 10. We went there 3 times during our short stay at Pittsburgh and were not disappointed.

Hastina – Royal Indian Cuisine in Pittsburgh its the “Pitts” stop for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors. The ambiance is warm and elegant, the staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and every dish—from the creamy Chicken Tikka Masala to the flavorful Briyani bursting with bold, delicious spices. Their garlic naan is addictive, and the sweet Gulab Jamun wraps up the meal perfectly. Hastina makes casual dining feel like a royal treat.

Food is good. Ordered dosa, tandoori chicken and fried rice.Tandoori chicken had too much food color, but taste was delicious.
I recommend trying this restaurant.

Ambience is quite dull and restroom are not well maintained , better avoid using

Authentic Indian food. Attentive server helped us select some great chickpea and cauliflower dishes, along with naan, mango lassi and samosa.
We’ve stopped here before on the way to the airport, and will stop again.

My wife and I went to Hastina for a date night a few weeks ago on the Limitless Dosa night (Thursday).

Learning how to eat dosas was a new experience, but the owner/staff helped educate us.

The food was very good, the staff were attentive, the price was reasonable for what you get.

We eat vegetarian, and it was nice that there were a lot of options for us.

One critique I offered the owner is that there isn't information online about what specials/buffets they offer on different days of the week, and there is little info about pricing. It would be very nice to have it laid out on your website what days/hours full buffet, dosa night, etc. are and how much they cost. I know it would help us to plan our next visit.

Look forward to coming back again!

One of the worst experiences with restaurants in Pittsburgh. We come regularly to this place, but after today, never again to this place. Such a bad service by the person that took order. Me and my friends ordered , three items - chciken biryani (no taste), ravva masala dosa (okay), paneer hakka noodles (not even served). In between, we asked for water - not served, we asked for ice in glass - instead served ice in a cup and asked us to use spoon to fill our glass. When inquired about noodles, the person’s response is “oh okay”. Then just asked us to pay bill and No sorry or forgot to bring food - nothing. My friend left that hotel without eating food. Super bad and worse service from this place. I will never go again and won’t recommend anyone to go.

Worst indian restaurant ever, like there is always food left and not enough sambar at the end of the meal, I always request for extra sambhar but the guy who is always there never puts enough and when ask they charge $8.00 for 5 oz of sambhar in an 8oz box. it’s crazy, i have been coming here for a while but not only is the sambhar terrible but also the service. Not going back ever! two boxes for three items is crazy, after the amount of times we come here, I don’t even wanna come back here ever, first thing it taste terrible on top of the terrible service they have

This used to be all vegetarian. With the addition of meat there are less options for vegans and vegetarian which is disappointing. The items need to be labeled as Vegan and vegetarian so it's clear what people can safely eat.
