I had the chicken empanada and as a Dominican I can say it was the blandest empanada I’d ever eaten in my life. Extremely overpriced for the size too, it was 6 dollars. An empanada really shouldn’t be more than $4

A decadent and very expensive place. Lousy attention.

It's a shame that the service is so bad in this location, we arrived on a Saturday at 8:20 pm and they closed at 9. We placed the order and they were literally throwing us away. Some horrible angry faces and when we said we were going to eat there it was much worse. The girl at the cash register had the face of a jailer instead of a clerk facing the public. Honestly, a horrible experience, it was not worth driving half an hour to be so poorly served.

Horrible, I would never return to this place, very bad customer service does not work and I wait more than 30 minutes for my food. If we talk about that, I do not recommend it and I know how a business is run and it is not the correct way for employees to treat costumers poorly. I will not return nor do I really recommend it 😡😡🤬

First time I went to the place and I really didn't want to go anymore, the girl who works at the cash register with a bad attitude and I don't think it's the way to treat some customers, if she doesn't like her job, she should look for another one.

I have been here a few times, highly recommended it & discovered they are disrespectful to patrons. Also, homemade doesn't come in this type of packaging, so mentiras don't look good on the woman running the shop. Plenty of choices in the city.

We were cilantro and garlic customers! But this would be the last time eating there. What a sad and bad experience 🥺 Go eat a Christmas dish from our country and believe you feel at home that they take good care of you at least. But not even that! On the contrary, hallaca pernil is super salty with an unpleasant burnt taste. That when they took out the plate they had to smell or look at the plate before going out to the public. How sad and they didn't take the courtesy to ask if we need anything else. Since they knew that our food was not the best.

We got the Arepa Pernil and Arepa Maracucha. They bring out the cilantro lime cream sauce to go with it. I loved both of the arepa but I think my favorite was the maracucha.

I think it's a good place but sometimes it takes too long. The shredded chicken is so wet and with so much liquid that the whole patacón falls apart. The cachapas must improve them.

Last year I fell in love with an arepa from Cilantro y Ajo’s food truck. Last week I finally had the opportunity to visit their new restaurant. The small restaurant’s location looks a little sketchy from the outside but inside it is nicely decorated and clean. I arrived at 5pm and I asked the very nice girl at the counter what items were popular and I ordered the Arepa Pabellon. I noticed many food delivery guys/gals picking up orders but we were the only ones seating. Shortly after, ALL the tables were filled up! The food did take a while and it seemed everyone there knew this would be the case. People were just chilling and hanging out. It was a fun and lively environment. If you are short on time, avoid rush hours. But if you want to relax and enjoy good food with friends, this is a great place. The food is worth the wait! My arepa and their special sauce was AMAZING and I can’t wait to come back! DELICIOUS!!!
