Honestly the best brunch spot in southwest Pennsylvania. The best food in town,

I've been here several times and always had a good meal but clearly picked the wrong night to come here. Dinner for a special group outing took 2.5 hours and that's only because we ate our food quickly otherwise we were looking at a 3+ hour dinner. There was a very large private party in the cigar lounge which I'm sure added to our nearly 2 hour wait for food (and prevented our group from enjoying the cigar lounge). The food was great and the waitress was excellent but because of this, I doubt I'll be back here again. I hope if Cioppino takes on a large party again, they don't sacrifice service for regular dining customers.

I went to a birthday dinner. Restaurant atmosphere was great however we waited 2 1/2 hours to eat. We were not approached by the manager regarding any issues. Was told 2 hours later that the chef was backed up. Food was ok really had no flavor. Definitely not satisfied for the price I paid.

My only disappointment was that the cigar lounge ventilation was not operational and our group was unable to have the maximum experience.

We had a private event in their private room earlier this week that was anticipated to have 26 attendees. The room was set up awkwardly in the fact that they made one long table even though it made all the chairs way too close to each other. The food was pretty good, especially our desserts and entrees. The service was also fast. When they brought out each course, they had several people bring out the food so the whole party got their dishes within a couple of minutes of each other. They also validate your parking in the attached garage but you should note that it's only for two hours so you may need to pay a small amount after the validation.

The food and drinks were excellent. unfortunately our waiter was not good. He was an older guy, the brother of the hostess I think. He paid little attention to our table. every other table got bread and he didn't even ask. He charged us full price for my mocktail, left dirty dishes in front of us for a long time, and lost track of what course we were on. At one point saying "wow you ate that fast!" it was our salad. we got a dessert that was frozen solid and when my wife said so, he said "You want me to put it in front of the heater?". Total D bag. compliments to the chef though. the food, except dessert, was great. just hope you don't get that waiter. worst!!

This was our first time and a fantastic experience. Looking for live jazz, I made a reservation here. I inquired on a local page about seating with a view of the band and an employee saw it and took care of us! The food was incredible, great ambiance, fabulous drink selections, amazing service, and an unexpected bonus was the view of downtown. The noise level was just right. Always a buzz, music was perfect and we could still hear each other talk. We are already planning our next visit.

Chef is too particular and doesn't allow any changes/substitutions. Salt was used to hide lack of flavor. Atmosphere and staff were fantastic but will never go back unless the chef changes.

We had another great experience at Cioppino celebrating a Birthday! The dinner was great - lamb and the pappardelle, beets and greens salad and the endive and arugula salad. Our server Alex was awesome!

I've come here a few times over the years on special occasions and never have I been disappointed. The food was always great and the service top notch. They arguably have some of the best steak in the city here with a lower price for a higher tier restaurant. The back bar has a cigar lounge too which is a great touch for an after dinner smoke if you're into that sort of thing. Their cigar selection is smaller but very reasonably priced. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Thought the food was relatively disappointing. Soup appetizer was good. But was relatively disappointed in the price and type of steak. Service was decent but the price was a bit too high for what we got. Not sure I'd go back again.

don't waste your money. food is mediocre at best. i got the chilean sea bass and it was flavorless and it's presentation was straight out of 1990s despite it being one of their most popular dishes. it was boring and lacking seasoning. service was okay. nothing noteworthy. although the host staff was very friendly and inviting. crab dip was mediocre. lacking crab and flavor. we also go the yellowtail crudo app per our servers recommendation. again lacking flavor and was room temperature fish with nothing to it. scallops were just okay. i was so excited to try but was quickly disappointed and won't be back. 200 dollars down the drain.

The food and presentation was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed the live jazz band in the lounge area, and they even went out of their way to print a special menu for my birthday! Would definitely recommend for a nice evening out in Pittsburgh.

We were there to celebrate my birthday. I had the wedge salad, 14oz ribeye, asparagus and mushroom rissiotio it was all very good. The service was top notch even with them having a big party. Very well staffed. Everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend them and look forward to going back.

The food was bland. The calamari appetizer was subpar and the papardelle was hard to eat. I added shrimp and seared scallops to it and was charged $16 for 1 soggy scallop. The shrimp was probably the best part of the meal. The dessert sampler was also bland. I expected more for a $200 meal. My husband got the Chilean sea bass and he said it was okay. Jeff, the waiter, was great though. Very attentive and funny.
