The place is cool, the service was okay. The food. Terrible. I ordered fish and chips, I received a fish sandwich. They didn't take it back. The mashed potatoes were like instant mash. The gravy was sweet, gravy shouldn't be sweet. To top it all off as I was leaving the table next to me ordered fish and chips and got exactly what they ordered. Definitely wasn't worth $130
An unfortunate incident occurred that just has me and family disappointed at this restaurant. We celebrated my daughter's baptism here two years ago and all went smoothly. We had about 45 people. Now organizing my youngest daughter's baptism, we decided to do it at the same location. We called in the beginning of Feb. and looked for availability in April. I spoke to Nick, who tends to rush people off the phone. He told me yes they are available but they are focusing on St. Patrick's day and cant take down any details. I explained that on my end I at least need to set a date to let family know who will be traveling to PITTSBURGH. He let me know that he can at least “pencil†me in for a date. I didn't hear back after St. Patrick's day so I called...again Nick rushing me off the phone. He seemed surprised why I was calling to confirm since I was on the calendar. I was more surprised no one called me for a deposit of some sort. The event was two weeks away and still no follow up call about menus etc. We were expecting a few more people than expected so I had my husband call (at this point I was thinking this Nick may have an issue with women, who knows) to confirm to have the bigger space. Again Nick said yes will be in the bigger room. The event planner will follow up by that Monday. At this point the event is 9 days away, I get a call from the event planner saying Nick double booked us and there was already a party booked since the fall. She said sorry so we have to cancel your party (very nonchalantly). Mind you, invites have gone out, 45 people confirmed, family traveling from CA and FL. I thought it was a bad joke. I was flabbergasted to say the least. And the nonchalant attitude was even more upsetting. She hung up doing her job and told me oops sorry bye. No other manager has contacted me etc but I guess I'm expecting too much. Needless to say, we will never step foot in that establishment ever again. Luckily we were able to book a really nice venue so last min. The owner of this venue really felt for us and is doing what she can to help us out. We will have the whole dining area to ourselves. This experience definitely had to be shared bc this place is unreliable. We are sharing our story wherever we go.
An absolute disaster. It literally took an hour and a half to get our food (also, they served my wife at least 30 minutes before they served me). The corned beef looked like lunch meat from the Giant Eagle deli but didn't taste as good. What they called cabbage was even worse. They blamed their issues on Pitt graduation that night costing them 5 of 8 servers. Really? Management couldn't see that coming?
Enjoying drinks & great food with my husband on his birthday. You gotta try these scotch eggs!
Service was extremely slow when they were not even busy, food was below mediocre, and bathrooms were horrible. I could understand if they were busy, but they were extremely slow for a Thursday night.
It's sad when a place you loved declines. Abysmal service last night. The tables were sticky, the service slow, our order was incorrect. I had to ask for plates and silverware, after our appetizer came. I had to ask for kids menus, even though I clearly had two children with me. There was something at the bottom of my glass in my Guinness. And the fish was just okay, not nearly as good as it used to be. Next time I will go to Riley's Pourhouse, better service and food.
Food is good. Music would be if it were not so loud. Even staff and management complained bout how loud the DJ and the bands were.
Very good fish and chips. I also loved that they had soccer playing in the middle of the day and a group of fans were cheering on their team. I felt like I was in Ireland. My only complaint was I thought the clam chowder was average, and our bartender was a little busy (yet it wasnt that busy) and it took a while to get our check.
Great place for delicious Irish food and drink! They have trivia nights and live music occasionally. Go try the bangers and mash!
The food and cleanliness did not meet expectations. However, service and drinks were good.

The food was good (had the beef stew). The service was pretty bad though. Waited quite a while for someone to seat me. Ordered a beer, but the waiter held it until my food was ready. Then served the stew without a spoon, so had to ask two different waiters for a spoon. Finally, they brought my check but then never came back to swipe my card. I had to wave someone down. I would understand the delay if they were busy, but it was pretty slow when I was there.
Went a couple of times with a friend the last few months and loved it! We grabbed an out door seat during a windy day, but that didn't make an impact on our stay. Drinks were great, and the staff was more than friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a fun place with outdoor seating, come stop by!
Great time, good food with live music
