Delicious food and coffee! Expect to wait a bit if it's the weekend but it's so worth it. There are no bathrooms/sinks on site FYI.

One of thee must go to food truck / small business's. Amazing quality & service. Please listen to the small info that's given per drink, as it will help you enjoy your selection even more. My fiancée loved the empanadas and the farmer's latte. Disappeared like it wasn't even purchased, lol. Take some time out of your busy day to visit Columbino Coffee. Won't be disappointed!

Parking: Better be a pro in parallel parking. Don't rely on cameras & sensors solely.

So good. Leo was super friendly and provided great service. He explained that the arepas are made fresh every day. And bonus for us, gluten free without any modifications. We are planning on coming back very soon to try more of the menu.

Solid spot for Colombian food. Not too many places that sell this type of food in the area, and it’s nice to see a small shop like this out in the Strip District. The service is quite quick and friendly. I tried out their arepa with plantain and cheese arepa, cheese bread, and empanadas colombianos.

The cheese bread is a classic for Brazilian (and I suppose Colombian) places so it did not disappoint! Decent portion, nice chewy texture. It was what I wanted from this order. I ordered it with caramel sauce which made a near dessert out of this cheese bread.

The empanadas Colombianos were a bit of a disappointment though. They were very hard and too crunchy. There might have been a bit of some kind of meat in there but lots of potato, which was a nice filling. It went well with the green side sauce, which was very fresh and flavorful. Side definitely saved these little empanadas (They are almost bite sized).

My favorite item was the plantain and cheese arepa. First time I tried arepas, they were disappointing, but this place makes them delicious. The plantain is lightly sweet and cheese is stringy. Nice topping and very flavorful.

All in all, a solid little Colombian place. It’s easy to stop by and get a nice snack or breakfast.

Vegetarian options: Solid arepa options like plantain and cheese, drinks, empanadas, etc

I had the Colombian arepa lunch box combo.

The arepa was very good. I liked the chorizo a lot, super delicious.

The tostones were on the thinner side which I did not mind, more chip like and less hearty than other places I’ve had them at. The guac that came with them was pretty heavy on the lime juice and tasty. 👍👍

Holy hog the signature arepa is absolutely stellar (cheese and plantain)! Lightly sweet plantain, melted cheese, and a great crispy shell, couldn’t have been more pleased.

They also source really great coffee — the drip should be a crowd pleaser, nice and chocolatey while keeping the acid in check and not bringing so much roast that it leans bitter. Really balanced and pleasant cup!

Service was super quick and the benches with umbrellas were comfortable and clean. I’m super glad to have a colombino outpost in the city again! If you’re ever in Bethel Park their brick and mortar location is really nice as well, lots of comfortable seating.

Dietary restrictions: They were very commutative and receptive to my wife’s allergies. They know everything going into their food and made us feel very comfortable.

Finally got around to trying this place and it was delicious. We tried the arepa breakfast with chorizo added and the arepa with plantains, highly recommend both.

I only get their hot chocolate. so that's what I'll review.

Let me tell you... It's the only pure hot chocolate you'll get in Pittsburgh. Everyone else that says they have it are just liars. They used to be at Reyna's in the strip by Mon Chocolat. I'm sure the location was strategic at one point because Mon Chocolat is a great chocolate store.

My dad is a master sikwate maker (traditional 100% pure Filipino hot chocolate). He can sniff out pure and unpure chocolates without fail. Colombino's "pure" hot chocolate is the only one's in Pittsburgh that got the stamp of approval. It's probably better than my dad's version. Absolutely wonderful.

They also sell it separately, too. You can definitely make a super pure hot chocolate at home with it.

I will remember this place for the rest of my life because this was the worst mocha I've literally ever had across dozens of cities and hundreds of coffee shops. The black haired lady who works at the truck was kind of rude to everyone. When someone behind us tried to order a smoothie, she barked "We don't have smoothies". She also weirdly asked us if we wanted to add tip, but she literally didn't ask anyone before or after us in line. She also said "Sorry for the wait" to everyone else except us, so I'm really not sure what her deal was with us, tbh. The wait time for drinks was about 20 min, which meant food was coming out but no drinks. They spent more time worrying about getting a speaker set up than serving folks. We watched someone finish their entire coffee in the time it took their friend, who was part of the same order, to get her drink. The Mocka was absolutely awful. The chocolate in it was chunky, and it tasted like there was no espresso in it at all. It basically tasted like water with a few scoops of undissolved, cheap cacao powder dropped in it. My wife literally was picking chunks out of her teeth for half an hour after we left. It was honestly really gross, which was extremely disappointing after paying $8 and waiting 20 minutes. Also, the arepa came out in like five minutes, but was generally lackluster in flavor. Even the salsa stuff couldn't save it from being bland. Overall, this experience was pretty awful. As my wife succinctly put it: "I feel like I just got mugged."
