The homemade jam on the cheese board was remarkable! Service was friendly and efficient. We love this place.

A hidden gem. A perfect speakeasy vibe with the best cocktails I’ve had in Pittsburgh.
Cannot recommend enough. I tried the tempting fate with Espresso Martini styles - and that Tequila drink that cam from the bar was absolutely fire. So much so my friend ordered the exact same one for our seconds 😂

Absolute 10/10. No notes! Commerce Bar is an entire experience - not just a bar. The aesthetic is moody, vintage, and botanical, and the food and drinks are designed with so much creativity. The servers and bar tenders were engaging and helpful, and it made the place feel hospitable and homey. We can’t wait to go back!

Service was great. Staff was incredibly friendly. Drinks were amazing! You have to come here if you're looking for a very unique experience. The price reflects the quality, atmosphere and overall experience you're going to have. if you're expecting to have a couple of drinks, be prepared to spend a little bit of money, but it's worth every penny. Can't wait to come back. Thanks to Alicia And Addie for a great night.

The place is very average — not worth the wait at all. The drinks are just okay, nothing special or memorable.
What I found extremely poor and unprofessional was that after we ordered a third round of drinks, we were informed that we had to leave because there is a 90-minute time limit. This policy is only mentioned in the menu and in very small print.
The proper thing to do would have been for the server to let us know that our time was almost up before we ordered more drinks, so we could decide whether or not to order. That didn’t happen. Instead, she brought the drinks and about 10 minutes later came back to tell us we had to leave and dropped the check.
To make things worse, we waited about 15 minutes just to place our order, on top of the time we already spent waiting to get in.
Overall, it’s not worth the time or the money. Very disappointing experience.

Awesome little speakeasy in east liberty. I have tried to get in a few times but it is always super packed! They have very few tables but it is definitely worth the try. The atmosphere is fantastic, beautiful chandelier, candlelit tables, very romantic vibes. We got the fig balsamic cocktail and buffalo chicken dip. The cocktail was different than anything I’ve had before. It had a Smokey flavor which I usually do not enjoy but it was delicious. They have a decent sized food menu, mostly dips and small snacks. The buffalo dip was good but very blue cheese heavy.

Stumbled across this place a few months ago when hanging out with a friend. Definitely well worth the hunt for the entrance! Drinks are reasonably priced and there’s a lot of cool cocktails. We both liked the Pandan one. We went in April so I don’t know if that drink is still there but it was delicious. We tried a few NA options and they were just as good as the ones with alcohol. I heard it can get packed so maybe we were lucky, but we went on the weekend around midnight and were able to get seats at the bar with no wait.

This is a super cute little hideaway bar, posing as a 'speakeasy'. While prohibition is long past, the idea of a secret bar still has a certain cache to it. It feels special. And they get it right here. The atmosphere is amazing. It's a beautiful room, with a skylight and a chandelier. It's stunning. A real 'Wow' moment when you arrive.
Food and beverage are certainly good, but pricey. It looked like there was an upcharge to order off menu. A gin and tonic (with Beefeaters?!) should not cost that I was charged.
The other issue? Service was really slow. Painfully slow. The bar was not at all busy. It was a Thursday. It took easily ten minutes for drinks to be delivered. I watched them sit at the server pickup for 5 minutes, easily.
Also, the bartender was wearing shorts and a ball cap. Looked newly 21. Come on. Class it up already. It's supposed to be a sort of Prohibition era theme park, right? How about a tie? A nice crisp shirt, sleeves rolled up? Maybe a vest?
Great space. Good offerings. Indifferent service. They could try harder, but the service industry has been suffering since the pandemic. It makes me sad. We went to Kelly's afterwards, and had a much better time for half the money.

Beautiful speakeasy style bar with a unique ambience hidden away in Shadyside. Amazing craft cocktails with uncommon flavors like the one that uses green curry. Cannot wait to go back. This is a new local fave.

Lovely speak easy atmosphere, beautiful chandelier, and a really good use of space overall. Delicious and artistically crafted cocktails and excellent small plates as well as fresh oysters! My only dislike was the metal music playing, just seemed out of synch with the atmosphere of a “speak easy”. We were seated near a table that twice had really obnoxious young adults, so maybe we came on the wrong night to enjoy. But overall, this is definitely a place you want to experience. We’ll be back to try more cocktails.

Everytime we travel to a new city we get recommendations from locals where the best places are.
Commerce Bar was mentioned more than once, and from servers at other bars / restaurants, which is huge in my book.
Commerce Bar is a great speak easy, that was fun trying to figure out where it is once in, we knew we were in the right spot. We sat and the bar, and chatted with the bartenders, since we asked about where we should go next to maximize our time in Pittsburgh.
Cocktails here are phenomenal, and masterfully crafted, and completely unique.
While they offer food, we had just eaten so we didn't get to try anything, but if their cocktails were a sign, they food offerings would be delicious. (And looked delicious as they passed by us)

Such a cool speakeasy! The aesthetics here are absolutely gorgeous and makes the hunt to find it totally worth it—even if it’s a bit tricky (we had to ask for directions to locate the entrance!). Once inside, it was easy to grab a seat and order a drink.
One of my favorite touches: they present your receipt in a cute little box (photo attached!). I’m already looking forward to returning next time I’m in town!

Very interesting place went for a mid day drink on a Sunday. Took us a bit to find the hidden door in the back alley. Great drinks. OK snacks.

Rockstar bartenders, amazing atmosphere for an intimately-casual and fun evening. Three of the four cocktails we tried were the best I'd ever had, and one of them wasn't even on the menu. Thank you Anna for the most amazing and well-balanced pineapple mezcal egg white sour I'll ever have! Will definitely come back.
