Blown away by the bartenders and the atmosphere. The Mezcal martini and wine I had was perfect.

It is a cool place. Nice vibe and it is a cozy place. Excellent cocktails!! They made different drinks which we liked for the four of us there. Loved their chips.

Best craft cocktails in the city that are absolutely worth what you pay for them. Approachable and professional bartenders. GREAT music playlists. Especially recommend coming here on a Thursday night. Immaculate vibes.

Two words: hidden gem. Commerce Bar has a sleek and sophisticated atmosphere. The cocktails are expertly crafted by skilled bartenders that take pride in their work. It shows in the finished product. The vibe here is both relaxed and upscale. As a plant lover, I loved the photos trailing from the planters along the skylight. The music is unique.

First off, the vibes are IMMACULATE. I was expecting a bit of a “too cool for you” attitude but found just the opposite- servers were incredibly welcoming and friendly! And the decor is just unmatched! Couldn’t give it five stars though, only because of the drinks. The menu cocktails were underwhelming and the option to pick a liquor and flavor profile and have the bartender make one yielded unimpressive and unpalatable results. So overall the mixology could use some work but I will absolutely be back!

Beautiful cocktail lounge with tables and bar seating. The atmosphere is superb and Speakeasy concept subtle and not overdone. I thought the entry door was especially clever and place is hidden quite well.

Great speakeasy bar with some of the best cocktails in Pittsburgh in a lovely setting (surprising skylight and a gorgeous chandelier!). Had a really nice Manhattan variation with their house made orgeat (walnut or almond flavor). They also have genever, so I ordered a genever Martinez which was perfectly executed. They have a limited food menu, and the oysters were really good and fairly priced. And the staff here are both chill and knowledgeable at the same time, and I really enjoyed the hospitality here. The place can get packed on weekends, but going at opening hour mid-week was nice. Definitely a must go destination for any cocktail lover!

Spectacular little spot! Hidden in a back alley but as soon as you walk in your are transported. It's super small inside (maybe 6 tables and a small bar) but it's worth the wait. Our drinks were fantastic. I couldn't decide on my second drink so I told the bartender what I like and don't, and he made one to surprise me. We didn't eat any food but they are connected with muddy waters oyster bar, so I'm sure the food was good.Come here with friends, come here on a date, it doesn't matter, just get there. The decor, drinks and vibe are not to miss.

A really great hidden bar with true speakeasy vibes and excellent unique cocktails. Staff was knowledgeable and didn’t let us down when we tried the “tempting fate” (bartenders choice) options.A great addition to the Pittsburgh cocktail scene.

Great cocktails! Combinations that I wouldn’t have thought of worked perfectly together.

Recently had friends visiting Pittsburgh and knew that I had to bring them to Commerce for an after-dinner drink! The speakeasy vibes are so cool, and the drinks are always interesting & delicious. I had the bellhop (which was citrusy & refreshing) and also a glass of the rosé cava. Everyone I was with enjoyed their cocktails, and the service was attentive & helpful with any questions we had. They also serve bar snacks - we got some chips & dip that were both good! The only downside to Commerce is that it's not very big & you can't make reservations, so we had to wait an hour for our table. On the nice side, though, we were able to go somewhere else while we waited & they sent us a text when the table was ready. Just be prepared that if you go with a group you will likely have a wait (as most of the tables are better sized for 2-3 people). I will definitely be back!Food: B-Drinks: AService: AAtmosphere: A+

Summary: If you're in PIT for a drink/apps, this place is hard to beat. Service 5/5 - friendly, make great drinks Servers: Aaron (a TX man), Alicia, Ryan were great a personable and very skilled at what they do!Ambience: this place is a Speakeasy - go through alleyway and go in through nondescript black door. Free street parking after 6p. Pretty dramatic difference between the alley and what's inside. Great Ambient light in the evening with a partial skybox. Two floors, intimate but spacious. Great place to hang. I came here on a Thurs (no line) but it looks like weekends are a diff story, so fair warning.Food: Had the olive tapenade and shrimp cocktail. They do not have full-on meals, but the apps they had were solid. Drinks: top notch. I love that they have the "tempting fate" option - where the bartender makes you a surprise. I had them name their drinks while I was here, and they were pretty clever about it. Overall: Well worth the time/money. I was traveling and glad I came across this place, and it was thanks to the Yelpers!

Such a cool concept and atmosphere, but the drinks are terrible. We've tried them twice, hoping the first experience was just a fluke, but both times we were served unbalanced cocktails that just don't make sense. This past time we "tempted fate" and had our bar tender make us something based on our alcohol of choice. We asked for bourbon and were given a rye whiskey, which any good bartender should know are not the same. Other ingredients were Aperol and Campari (these are basically the same thing - you shouldn't put both in a cocktail), ginger, and grapefruit juice. It was terrible as were their crafted cocktails on the menu. Heavy pours, still not worth the price, but heavy pours nonetheless, but disgustingly unbalanced.
