What a gem! The beans and service are exceptional here. We were visiting from out of town and wished we could stay longer to try more, but grabbed some drinks and bags of coffee. It was torture to choose because everything sounded and smelled amazing. Won’t hesitate to order online to and recommend Commonplace to anyone visiting the area.

Great location with a solid selection of drinks and bites. My wife and I always compare spots by ordering a cappuccino and a straight latte, and Commonplace did not disappoint. The coffee had great taste—bold and strong. I’d give it 4 stars; the only reason it’s not a full 5 is because we’ve had slightly smoother cups on a recent Portland trip.
Still, we highly recommend it for a quality coffee stop. They also had several pastries and cold sandwiches available if you’re looking for a quick bite.

My husband and I are serious coffee lovers, and we happened to stumble upon this cozy spot by chance. I tried the Thai iced tea while he went with the barista’s iced coffee recommendation and wow, both drinks were incredible. The Thai iced tea in particular, was hands down better than any we have tried in the area. I haven’t stopped raving about it since and keep convincing my husband to take me back 😍☕️

Great place to get a true Espresso. They serve it with a cup of water and a small cookie. It reminded me of Italy a little bit. The place itself looks like a coffee shop in the east village in NYC. Great vibes and very friendly. If your in the area and need great coffee don’t skip Common Place Coffee!

Probably the best coffee shop I’ve ever been! The baristas are amazingly great at their job and super nice. I used to bring my laptop and work there, and the place is perfect for that. Plus, coffees and food are really good!
