Got in last night small table for 2. Small very quaint. Service was impeccable, food was delicious and the owner personally came around to each table at the end of the night. Very old world, LOVE IT!!

Chef Eric and our server Mike were fantastic! Our large group was able to enjoy a delicious business dinner in a timely fashion. Apps, entrees, and dessert were absolutely incredible! The Cesar salad was perfectly composed, they make their own mozzarella, and the specials are on point! You could taste the love and passion that created each dish. It was so nice that Chef Eric came out to meet us and personally described some of the dishes to us.The owner was a little unprofessional about an accommodation we needed, but the food and other staff made up for it, so I would still highly recommend this establishment.Dietary restrictions: Chef Eric did a great job accommodating a gluten friendly appetizer and entree.

Every bite of every dish the four of us had was sublime. You can taste the love and care in every dish. The Bolognese was rich and delicious. Best greens and beans! Perfect fried zucchini.

I had high hopes as this place came recommended for its authentic Italian food. Way overpriced and cash only. BYOB. Basic atmosphere and cold upstairs and you can’t help but be interrupted by the stomping feet up the stairs or call outs to Chef. Our waitress was accommodating but we definitely felt rushed. Wedding soup cup about 4 oz had no taste. The Caesar salad was basic Eat N Park style and Chicken Parmesan was ok. Pasta was a tad hard.

Went here as a date nightPros: cute, cozy restaurant. I like the 2 story idea of the restaurant. We ate on the 2nd floor. Our waitress was amazing and didn't bother us too much, which I really enjoyed. The warm bread they serve you with red pepper hummus AMAZING.Cons: ordered the wedding soup that lacked a major flavor. The pasta was super hard in the soup. The meatballs in the soup were fantastic. My dinner was the Bolognese pasta dish my 1st time ever having it so good. I thought the carrots were going to be crunchy, but they weren't THANK YOU, lol. My husband had the chicken parm over pasta and red sauce, and none of it had no flavor he did enjoy the asparagus. Would go again to the chefs. Don't be afraid to use a little salt. Oh yeah it's cash only?

It was a birthday celebration and was a wonderful experience . The food was great as well as the service. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the different appetizers, meals , and the desserts are yummy. We will all be back again . Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

It was a very busy Saturday evening upstairs and downstairs. Noise levels got to the point where it was difficult to hear even across our table. We were not rushed, as some places tend to do on a Saturday evening. We were greeted and served by a team. With 4 in our party, we all tried different apps and different entrees. The serving sizes are always ample, and the food is always fresh. The mozzarella pomodoro appetizer was awesome, but beware: it is also very filling. We have been here many times, and have tried most of the menu items. The features for the evening always offer some interesting alternatives. Nothing beats homemade pasta!! Parking is always a challenge on the South Side. The closest parking garage (Ladle), which used to be convenient and reasonable, is now a real negative with its app based ONLY option and ridiculous costs and fees.

The server we had was WONDERFUL... I wish I could remember her name. Food was very good . We sat downstairs because one guest would have had a hard time with steps. We were the only ones downstairs - I got the impression that the downstairs is normally used for overflow... bare bones atmosphere - small open kitchen (area) downstairs w/ somebody washing dishes, doing other tasks. We didn't realize that downstairs was going to be like that (our first time there) but the servers went above and beyond to insure that we had a very enjoyable evening - and we did. The (hot) bread is delicious as are the complimentary olives and humus. W/out any hesitation our server brought us more of everything! And a BYOB! Try it if you've never been . And they do require a credit card hold when you make a reservation (in the event you don't show). I was hesitant about going there bc of that but I did it anyway. If you're uncomfortable giving a credit card number - skip the reservation- just go and most likely if you can't get a table upstairs ( if that's your preference) you can prob get a table on the first floor.

Food was excellent. Atmosphere is average at best. Downstairs feels like a pizza shop. Upstairs is simple, but small open room which can get loud if full.Service was terrible. Took 30 mins to get bread and for someone to open our wine. Two hours to get to main meal. Our server apologized continually about the service she was providing. She also said there was only one person working in the kitchen, so everything was slow. Will not be back

The first time we went it was amazing. Second time we had pasta specials on a Friday all seafood based. All the scallops and shellfish were great, but the sauces were a little heavy. I will go back for sure, but I think I will stick to the main menu.

Food was good. No problems there. Ambience is just ok... plain room, with wooden floor. Seems to be an old row house, turned into restaurant. I am ok with that. Service bordered on terrible. Took 30 mins to get bread to table, and to uncork the wine we brought. Took 2 hours to get main course. Was told only one person working in kitchen.

Went on V-Day, dinner for two reservations at 7 Arrived at 6:55 and seated right away, probably 12 tables upstairs and only two waitresses. Our orders were taken and we had appetizers by 7:15. Hummus was delicious, Mancini's bread was fresh and warm. Soup and Meatballs were served next and they were good as well. Seems like we hit a speed bump in the kitchen at this point it took about 30 minutes to get our salads. One Ceaser one Casa salad and it was a surprise to us a house salad was served with some vinaigrette and blue cheese. Both were good we just had to switch because she expected ranch on the casa. Main courses weren't too much longer after, and done to perfection. Salmon was great fell apart on the fork, and Chicken Parm was a large serving. Two big pieces of chicken and lots of pasta was perfect for lunch the day after as well :) Didn't ever feel rushed, if anything we felt unnoticed for a portion of the night. There were couples that arrived after we were served our soup and meatballs that paid their check and left before we got our dessert. Overall great atmosphere, nice for date night. We'll be coming back to try again with the full menu available

All parts of our dinner appetizer, salads, entrees & desserts were excellent & enough for dinner tonight with what we brought home. The service was excellent too. We will return for more!
