Wasn’t up to the hype we had seen. English muffins were burnt on the bottom. Drinks were fine but nothing to rave about and kid’s hot chocolate seemed like the cup was half hot chocolate and half whipped cream.

Really quaint, cute, and awesome vibes coffee/bar stop. Will return to work from and hang out here.
Delicious coffee with gorgeous latte art and friendly staff! Space feels roomier than before and great selection of local goods and gifts!

The food and drink quality was excellent. The one person working at the start of the morning when people want/need coffee and breakfast clearly didn't want to be working and clearly needed someone else there to handle the line. But someone might have stood her up and the drinks and food are worth it.

Made a review before about this place but I couldn’t stop from making another one. One of the best coffee spots in the Strip of Pittsburgh. Highly recommended. Coffee. Beer. Mimosas. Books.

Nice place inside. Many interesting choices of coffee and non coffee related items on the shelves for sale such as cheese, spices, ciders and beers. Coffee cups and tumblers. Nice offering of breakfast sandwiches and treats. And would like to go back some afternoon or evening for a drink at the bar.

I am an avid pour over fanatic and this is my coffee place. There is no better coffee roaster in Western, PA. I’ve tried them all.

Went to De Fer on Saturday at 2 PM since it’s one of the few coffee shops open until 9 PM. Located in the heart of the Strip District, right in front of the new Terminal, it has a unique and spacious layout. Parking can be tricky depending on how busy it is.
Their lattes were perfectly sweet, and the everything bagel was a great snack! The vibe was ideal for both working (good internet) and catching up with a friend. I also loved browsing their local goods—coffee, wine, cheese, meats, and beautiful artwork!

Loved this place! Aside from the cool art & general vibe in here, the guys running it were super friendly. I ordered a flat white, which was yummy, but then I saw a strawberry & cream cold brew on the menu and I HAD to order that... NO REGRETS. It was so so delicious without being overly sweet. Also had the oatmeal which had delightfully surprising bits of ginger in it. I would be here regularly if I lived in the area.

It was my first time trying out De Fer’s coffee and I’ll be honest, it was the best decaf latte I’ve ever had in my life. Delicious — although I’ve had better cookies elsewhere. I think if the latte I had was THAT good, I’m pretty sure their other coffee beans are phenomenal. My sister had the matcha latte and she also said it was superior compared to the other cafes we’ve visited so far.
This definitely makes it on my top 3 cafes out here. We’ll definitely be back.
Kid-friendliness: If it’s crowded, and your children are naughty… not a good place to take them lol.
Wheelchair accessibility: None that I saw.

This is my second time coming here. I am visiting from out of town and decided to come back. The first time I tried the vanilla lavender latte and it was amazing. The second time I tried the vanilla lavender flat white and also amazing- slightly more coffee taste which is what I was look for. This time I also tried some food. The breakfast sandwich- out of this world. The English muffins are homemade and I seriously want to eat 4 of them. The entire breakfast sandwich from the English muffin to the sauce was delicious. I am probably going to go back again before I leave. And I will definitely make the drive to come here every time I visit!
