I used to frequent Dee's a lot when I was in my 21 to early 30's, 8+ years ago. Was in there the 1st time in 6 six years a few weeks ago. It hasn't changed, minus bar tenders. It's a nice dive bar with a bar on 1st floor and 2nd. A great place to unwind, with excellent service. It can get really crowded in there. It draws a diverse crowd of trendy hipsters, rockers, punks, metal heads, and all sorts of people in between. There are pool tables and dart boards...
This is a dive bar, and it's exactly what you expect from a Southside dive bar. The drinks are affordable, and the vibes are immaculate. This isn't a place to go if you are looking for anything fancy.
This is a great dive bar. No nonsense, efficient bartender. Sports on TV. A local, real crowd. I went in because I was trying to watch the Penn game and everywhere else was overflowing. The reason I think this place was less busy is that it allows smoking. However, it has a good ventilation system so it's not really a big deal.
