This is a dive bar, and it's exactly what you expect from a Southside dive bar. The drinks are affordable, and the vibes are immaculate. This isn't a place to go if you are looking for anything fancy.
This is a great dive bar. No nonsense, efficient bartender. Sports on TV. A local, real crowd. I went in because I was trying to watch the Penn game and everywhere else was overflowing. The reason I think this place was less busy is that it allows smoking. However, it has a good ventilation system so it's not really a big deal.
A Pittsburgh classic dive bar! Always make it a point to stop by when I'm in town. Cheap drinks, decent staff, laid back atmosphere. Usually no trouble here. I would say that it's perhaps the best bar in the south side to play pool. DJ's on the weekends. The second floor bar is one of my favorite places to relax when it's open on the weekends.
