Sign said open, so I made my way up the steps only to find it closed.
This place used to be awesome. We come down from 3 hours away and the lady who owns it now is only open 2 days a week. This place used to be the best.

Busy during the holidays, best to order ahead, she ran out of chocolate while I was there, I was lucky & got the last 10 lbs!
Quiet place, knowledgeable staff. Some of the stock had been undisturbed long enough to have spiderwebs, but it was very well organized and stocked.
I moved from the North Hills to the West Hills where I use to go to the Make a Cake store. I thought I would visit this store for the first time. I found it small and didn't have as much merchandise as my other store. I purposely went for puff pastry dough and candy eye. At the Make a Cake shop the puff pastry dough is in freezers for you to pick out what you like. It has full and smaller square sheets. The lady at Dee's had to go in the back to get the dough and then she put busted dough in the bag. I didn't want busted up dough in 3 pieces. I paid and left knowing i will not return. I visit family in the North so I will get my supplies at my old store where I can pick out my own solid sheets of dough.

I stopped to see this place. Looks like its permanently closed? I'm not sure. I called and it said its hours of operation on the phone but I came at that time and it everything was dark inside. Anyone have any ideas if this place is still open?
