The last three times I've ordered delivery from the place the food has been inedible. Hanger steak salad with raw steak. Crispy Brussels sprouts were just burned leaves in grease. Shrimp tacos barely have anything on them and shrimp is undercooked. I used to go there back in the day and things were usually ok... Just ok. However, as of late, I must say the food here is disgusting. I do not recommend!

Dive Bar has a number of locations around Pittsburgh and has very good food! I’ve eaten at the Lawrenceville location twice and have had good experiences with food and service. The menu is large and has so many delicious offerings, so take a peek online in advance if you can be overwhelmed by lots of yummy-sounding options.
The burgers are some of the best I’ve had, perfectly cooked to your requested temperature and loaded with all sorts of toppings. The Homewrecker burger is my favorite, and my husband likes the Alabama Slammer burger. We opt for the default side of chips as Dive Bar has the best homemade chips of any restaurant I’ve been to. It’s hard to try other things when the burgers are so good, but we’ve also had the fried pickles, Pork-n-Tots, and the Hangover sandwich, but the pulled pork on the Pork-n-Tots was very fatty the day that I had it, so a little disappointing there, but what I was able to eat was delicious.
They do take reservations, though I’ve never made a reservation when I’ve gone around lunchtime. I can’t speak for dinner time in Lawrenceville as I’ve never been around then. The service has always been good, and the restaurant is small but has a higher end atmosphere than the “dive bar” part of the restaurant name might make you expect.

My boyfriend and I were in dive bar Sunday night for Service Industry Night and sat at the bar. Rebecca was awesome! She was super knowledgeable about all the cocktails and we got a couple of half off apps. The croquettes and pizza rolls were amazing! We’ll definitely be back to see her

Amazing food and drinks. Dirty martini is ICE cold. Tehya has been my server several times and she is super attentive, kind, and skilled at what she does. You can tell she really genuinely cares about people. Service is always fast and high quality. This is one of my main places to go and relax after a long day.
Good service and a nice bar although I like barstools with back on them for comfort. But the foods always good. Been to other locations and really like the food.

Today at the dive bar on Butler, I had a terrible experience. The waitress didn’t introduce herself, took our order, and then disappeared. I requested no bacon on my wrap, but it arrived with bacon anyway. About 25 minutes later, she finally checked on our food—she wasn't even the one who served it to us. When I finally saw her and flagged her down, told her my concerns, she asked if I wanted a replacement. I didn’t… by that point, my fiancé had already eaten his meal, and we just wanted to leave. They took it off our bill, which was fine. However, when I went to the bathroom, the waitress was complaining about me! I stayed polite and didn’t cause a scene, but I couldn’t believe it. We’ve been to that location many times, but we won’t return because of her. I wish I knew her name, but she didn’t share it with us.
