We stumbled upon this place during a recent trip to Pittsburgh to celebrate our friends birthday this weekend and we were extremely impressed with the great service from the bartender Gail. She was fast, friendly, and by the time we left we felt like part of the family. Even met and talked to the owner Don. He was a gracious and kind gentleman. We even had dinner reservations at a restaurant downtown, but we cancelled those just so we could stay longer at Don's Bar. The food was amazing and the prices are VERY reasonable. And to top it off, my friend misplaced her purse, but didn't realize it until the next morning which was a Sunday (they are closed) and I reached out to them at Don's to see if she had left her purse there and they personally stopped what they were doing on their day off and went into the bar to look for the purse. I mean in today's world most people would've said we'll look the next time we are open, but not at Don's Bar. They really take care of you there. I want to make this birthday trip and annual thing and we will definitely be stopping by Don's Bar again. FANTASTIC PLACE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We came to Pittsburgh for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. The Air bnb we booked was just around the corner. We had a great time and the food was really good. Don and his Sons were terrific and Gale was a gem. We are planning to come back to just come hang at Dons.
