There is no better brisket than at Spork Pit. You wit have to drive to Austin to taste anything this good. Waitstaff was incredible, both in attitude and knowledge of the menu. Large and satisfying beer selection, master cocktail maker behind the bar. Crowd was happy and fluid throughout the evening. My dinner companion raved about the ribs and we each had tasty sides of collard greens and potato salad. Go now before the crowds line up at the door.
The change from Double Wide Grill and ALL of the vegan options they had is horrible. They have 3 vegan things on the menu now. This used to be my favorite vegan restaurant in the country, knowing that I could take anyone here, as they had options for all parties. Sadly I won't be back after the menu change. Not only did they go from 10-15 vegan options to 3, but the entire menu for meat options is smaller as well, as my brother noted. The vegan food they did have was delicious,...
Service was cheerful, and checked back just the right amount of times. We had the Double Wide and Barbecue burgers.. the bacon was perfectly crispy, the onions sautéed just rright, and the burgers were cooked the way we ordered. And the French fries? All I can say is ...yum!
