Honestly the meatballs here are worth the visit alone - I've never had meatballs that tasted complex, so rich and interesting. Everything was fantastic, their wine menu is superb, the cool atmosphere with the wall of plants - I'm definitely coming back here to try the chicken parm. I had the arctic char as my main and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, just the right amount of food. Also tried the Calabrian pesto, which was A+. Rich, nutty interesting.
Great service, knowledgeable, easygoing and not rushed like in so many other restaurants. Food was original, well presented and very delicious - we shared the focaccia with a spread, three small plates (duck, risotto and mussels) and each of us four also had an entree (2x pasta, 2x fish). Would certainly visit again for a special occasion. Best restaurant in Pittsburgh so far for us.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary for the second year in a row at Fish nor Fowl and had a lovely dinner. We were sat at the back near the garden wall, and while the lights were a tad too dim (we had to use our phones to illuminate the menus), it was cozy and quiet for the most part of the evening. We had the foccacia and whipped ricotta, a small charcuterie board (2 cheeses and 1 meat item), a shared caesar salad, and two off-menu items: the grilled octopus with tomato sauce...
