Our first time here and oh my goodness, definitely not the last. Everything was incredible. The croissants are huge and flaky and buttery. The chocolate rye cookie totally blew my mind. It has such a deep dark chocolate flavor and the texture is perfect. I really wish I had ordered more. Chocolate chip cookie also amazing. The sourdough bread was excellent, chewy crust, and it made perfect toast for breakfast.
I'm already planning what to order next time we go. I would highly recommend !!

Good food, but the servers were quite rude and stated they could not reheat our to-go pastries. Would not come again.

Everything is homemade! Never dissapointed. My favorites are the baguette, sourdough, and whatever flavor Danish they have. It's really fresh!

I guess five points is supposed to be Wilkins, Beechwood and Linden? Either way, doesn't really seem to make much sense. The inside of this bakery was all messed up. Completely uninviting and not the kind of place that you would want to hang out and enjoy some baked goods or a coffee.
Staff was friendly. Paying with a bit confusing because there was another customer standing in front of me while I paid.
Cookie was definitely pretty good. Big fat chunks of chocolate, not actual chocolate chips but huge chunks. Not too doughy and undercooked like a lot of places like to make their cookies. You could taste lots of salty butter. I'll have to check this place out some other time and hope that the inside is not all messed up.

Best bread baker in Pittsburgh!!! Wow! Breads are fantastic. Pastries very good and if you are lucky to be there when sandwiches are available, they make a great lunch. Coffee available onsite too.

The food at Five Points is genuinely excellent — the baked goods, in particular, are outstanding and worth the trip on their own. Unfortunately, the service is consistently abysmal. The staff treat guests with a level of passive-aggressiveness that makes you feel like a third-class citizen, which really takes away from the experience. If only the warmth of the food matched the coldness of the service.

Best bakery in Pittsburgh, hands down. Incredible bread, cookies, and pastries. Real bread, properly crusty and full of character. I love supporting this little local shop. I think their pecan sandies might be the best cookie ever.

The bread and coffee were amazing. I wish I would have stopped in sooner. This place will definitely be my go-to for my morning coffee from now on.

Very long wait just for a coffee. I thought maybe they forgot about it but the barista was just extra slow. Maybe they milk the cow themselves, I don't know. Sometimes no one was at the espresso machine, even with multiple orders waiting so I don't think speed is too much of a concern. Coffee is okay.

I stopped by Five Points Artisan Bakeshop this Saturday and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Their loaves are started well in advance (they emphasize long fermentation—at least ~20 hours for many breads), which you can taste in the depth of flavor and that crackly crust. The baguette is outstanding—Pittsburgh press has called it among the city’s best—and mine was warm, fragrant, and perfectly balanced between a crisp shell and airy interior. Beyond bread, the pastry case is hard to resist (think croissants, cookies, and seasonal specials), and they also do simple, tasty sandwiches Tuesday–Saturday—great if you want to turn your bakery run into lunch.
