As a Puerto Rican, I love this place, all around pittsburgh there is not so much options of authentic food, this place is definitely the closest thing to eating at home.

Loved the smells when I walked in, reminded me of back home. The staff were sweet. Enjoyed the Platano maduros here and the empanadillas, but my most favorite was the sancocho had all the flavors and salt craving I was missing out on.

I'm Puerto Rican, and this place exceeded my expectations. Yvette and Victor make you feel like family. The food is delicious.Flavor of PR has a lunch counter vibe, and they have a party room available for rent too.Our faves so far are the chuleta frita (porkchop) and the pastelillos (empanadas). The bistec encebollado isn't traditional, but my husband loved it. I was too busy eating the oh so fresh salad and the flavorful habichuelas to try the bistec so I'll get it next time.My only wish is that the white rice was more traditional; it has a mass produced taste that sticks out on such spectacular plates.I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Doordashed the combo #2 add avocado with a beef and cheese empanada and everything was very tasty. Definitely ordering from here again soon. Everything was delivered on time along with it being fresh and hot.

Food was good, typical puertorrican flavor, but it was too greasy. I expected this from the empanadilla since it is fried but not from the rice with pigeon peas, nor the shredded pork. Portions are big and the prices very reasonable.Parking: Not easy to find parking close to the restaurant.

Love the Pernil (Shredded Pork) Arroz con Gandules Pigeon peas and rice the ground beef empanadas. Then we got caramel apple empanadas best dessert empanada I had so far.Just make sure if you park out front to pay the Kiosk next to the police station. I think there is parking for the restaurant in the back. The food was awesome.

The roasted pork (Pernil) is too salty. Where is the mojito? Maybe lay off the adobo. Where is the flavor of Puerto Rico in this rice? Beans are not tasty, too many olives in the beans. Tostones are too dry. I am Puerto Rican & I probably would NOT order from here, again. Salad was fresh...but some browning on the lettuce. I shared with my co worker so the combo was more & more tostones.Tres leche slice was too spongy & too creamy. Not a hit with me... but would like to see them hit the mark of Puerto Rican food, being there aren't too many here in Pittsburgh area.
