I have been goin to Frankie's Hot dogs for years I love this place yesterday I took a friend there who has never been there. He said it was the worst hot dog he ever ate I had to agree we got there about quarter after 2:00 and the hot dogs we got look like they've been sitting on the grill for 4 hours. The girl that was waiting on us had no hustle and left you with the impression that she didn't even want to be there

I've been coming here for years. The kielbasa and hot sausage are not bad, but way too expensive for what you get.

Old school corner shop, the hot sausage with onions served on a really good sturdy hoagie bread was comforting and savory.
I have to try the Chilli cheese dog next time.

Tasty food at a price that's hard to beat. Has quite the collection of regulars, which I would be among if I lived in the area

I used to love this place- I've been a customer for over 25 years but in the last couple years- not good at all, they changed the recipes on the hot sausage and meatball sandwiches, not as "mushy" as they used to be- which was a good thing, the onion & pepper mix is different also, large chucks that don't seem to be cooked long enough, and the buns are now Mancini's- they said the previous rolls were made by a company that went out of business, don't get me wrong- I love Mancini's but these are just too large for the sandwich. At least I wish they'd bring back the old recipes. I can't comment on the kielbasi or hot dogs because I've never tried them.

The hot sausage is delicious 😋! It reminds me of my family's recipe! Everything is fresh and delicious! I always eat a hot sausage sammich and get a foot-long to go! I have had the meatballs and kielbasa, and both were just as good!! You're going to be dreaming about another sammich from there once you leave! Locally owned and operated!! Pittsburgh Proud!!💯❤️

Not sure where else you could even get a footlong hotdog for 7$ (w/ tax) but this is the best hotdog you'll find in the 412. Great service and great prices, highly recommend

I was meandering around with some friends while our other friend was in an appointment. We needed some quick easy food and decided to try this place, it may look a bit intimidating from the outside but it was very welcoming! (You can also use either door, we stood outside for an embarrassingly long time trying to figure out what door until the women inside waved us in!)

They are currently cash only but are getting set up to take card next week. The women working here were SO friendly and did not mind out minor panic hoping we had cash to eat here (the food is inexpensive so don't worry.)

They have apparently been here for years and it was very nice, they have that classic Pittsburgh eats charm and atmosphere.

Overall I highly recommend you stop in, the owner Leann was wonderful and kind, the food was good as well!

This place is exactly as they advertise out front; 4 sandwiches, all at a reasonable price compared to classic city prices.

The hotdog was delicious and the service was great. It’s good to see an owner who loves their business and loves a happy customer.

Absolutely lovely experience and food!
