Best eclair of my life! In fact, everything in this place is amazing! My fav deserts in Pitts by far
Let me start by saying don't let the reviews make you nervous! I was a little hesitant when reading but decided to give this place a try and OMG I am so glad I did. Went today and was instantly greeted and welcomed by a man and woman behind the counter. The lady asked if I had ever been before which I said no and she was so excited for me to try it. I ordered what I thought was the cutest treats and a few macaroons. Which in the past I have hated the taste of macaroons they just weren't for me. But these macaroons were AMAZING. So good I almost turned around to go back and buy more. On to these beautiful well made desserts. They were so good and so well made. Rich flavors. The prices weren't bad at all considering these are handmade and most have gold flakes and small details that take time and effort. I 100% loved everything about this place and will absolutely be back. 10/10 recommend
Absolutely the best. The canneles are my favorite! The macarons are always amazing! A real treat every time I’m in Pittsburgh!
I am always hesitant to try French food as I’m pretty severely lactose intolerant and understand how important dairy is to French cuisine. A friend brought me here and the (presumable) owner was able to accurately tell me the ingredients in each macaron and steer me in the direction of less lactose options (butter, heavy cream, no milk, etc.). And let me tell you- even if you’re lactose intolerant these macarons are absolutely worth loading up on Lactaid and enjoying them! They travel beautifully and we enjoyed them over several days when we returned home. We loved every single one and will be saving our box to purchase more next time we’re in town :)
I’ve always wanted to visit and try and I’m so happy I did. The cafe is super cute and I was greeted by Gabriel who was so attentive and sweet. He answered all of my many questions. After perusing all of the beautiful pastries I settled on the Pain au Chocolat. So delicious, and now they have a customer for life.
Damn good! First time I've had an authentic French napolean. The pastry is crispy, flaky, perfectly browned and has a toasted flavor. Definitely going back!
Five stars for the amazing customer service! I really appreciated that the desserts were clearly labeled with alcohol and gelatin info, super helpful. It's a shame we got there so close to closing time. Hopefully next time we can enjoy the place a bit longer. Would definitely recommend!
As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted and warmly welcomed by Chloe (hostess). I ordered a cappuccino and a plain croissant and they were both wonderfully prepared and presented. Really enjoyed my visit and plan to come back many more times!
this place is damn good

Tried canele, choquette and millie and they were indeed very nice. The crust, custard and puff of them must be authentic and of very high standard :)

As a tourist in the City, I planned to grab delicacies on my way home to VA- from Penn Ave location. I arrived at the time the website said it opened (10 am). I arrived to an unopened store, lights off and peeking in- saw no pastries in the coolers. I contacted the store to find out when it was opening so I could possibly wait. I received no call back until now.... about 1 pm. I appreciate the call back but I have just been scolded by the owner for not visiting another store instead? I was told that I could have placed an online order for pickup. Not sure how the owner feels it would have been possible to grab my potential order if the store wasn't open? As a visitor to Pittsburgh, I planned my exit around what the website told me was the opening time. I depended on that. I suggested that it may have be helpful to adjust hours on the sites if the owner knew an employee wasn't arriving on time. They responded with "impossible". I am sure that the pastries are scrumptious but dealing with someone that throws blame back on a customer for NOT KNOWING THE CITY, MAGICALLY KNOWING THEIR STORE WASNT OPEN AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN, KNOWING THEIR OTHER LOCATIONS AND ACTING LIKE I AM STUPID FOR NOT ORDERING AHEAD is not a business that I will visit now.
taste of France from the heart of Pittsburgh.
Clean, inviting 'delicables' perfectly displayed for the choosing! ?
Parking: Parking lot adjacent to the store. NEVER had an issue
