We had a great time for lunch! The food was excellent 👌 and our server was amazing. The view of the city was great and we had a wonderful time! Taylor made us feel right at home and we couldn't believe the portions and decent prices. Wonderful restaurant and we can't wait to visit again!

We have been going to the Gandy for years. They have really stepped up again. Calamari was the BEST we ever had. New England seafood roll and prime rib sliders were both fantastic and a great value. Definitely recommend this place. Happy hour is from 3:30-6:30 and prices and value are worth every cent. Will be back

New menu SUCKS.
All the house staples are gone, including steamed clams.
Mussels, GONE.
Clams Casino GONE.
Whoever decided to make these changes needs fired. SAD, this used to be the best restaurant in Pittsburgh, now it's a joke.

Gandy Dancer Saloon is connected to the Grand Concours in Pittsburgh. The building is a preserved railroad station. It was worth the visit just to experience the building. The Gandy is casual, and the happy hour features specials for drinks and a limited selection of food

Went to dinner only to find there was one poor bartender for the entire place. She was not only so busy, but the previous bartender left her a heap of dishes. I asked the check in girl to call manager because she couldn't wait on us with all the dining room drinks. It took 40 mins for us to get the first drink. Poor Merideth..not only was she pleasant she did her very best for the situation. Our meals were exceptional..dynamite Mahi Mahi, blackened Mahi Mahi and Chilean sea bass. And blue point oysters.
Highly recommend restaurant and MERIDETH.

Where do I start… when we walked in the Gandy Dancer no one was there to wait on us, we had to go get someone to get the person. They still do not have the bread that had for 40 plus years. Now they took away the pasta Primavera. No side salad. Sooooooo instead of just walking out we ordered the IPA fish, it was suppose to come with fries and coleslaw. Fries were awful and NO coleslaw. I cannot make this stuff up. We asked to see Colin the manager because I complained before and he asked me to ask for him next time I was there but of course he was unavailable.. Once a fantastic place to eat has turned into a garbage dump.

Service was incredibly slow. Time between courses was ridiculously long or rushed Surf and turf came out overcooked ordered temp was supposed to be medium rare was served at med well. $79 for an entree I have an expectation of details. Server was a not apologetic and did not seem to care.

The GD is an excellent place to have draft and feel the vibe of an old school bar, mahogany, brass and dark corners; the bar is from 1886.
Was throughly stuffed from Texas de Brazil so didn't even glance at the menu. No Guinness on tap, sadly, & happy hour begins @ 4 (although the website says 3:30?)

Don't have high expectations when you come here haha. It was my first time here, my boyfriend wanted to come here for his birthday for the pasta and clam sauce. We had to ask if we can sit anywhere and the bartender said yes. So we waited at least ten minutes before my bf asked if it was ok that we were in the booth. Finally we got menus and the bartender apologized. We ordered the calamari and dynamite scallops to start and my bowl of clam chowder came out with the starters. The calamari tasted like hollow rubber.... Doesn't make sense right and there was like two squirts of sauce. Don't know why my bf didn't send them back, I think he just ate them out of boredom at this point. I wasn't brave enough to try the scallops because I'm pregnant and I wasn't impressed with the quality of the calamari but my bf said they were good. My clam chowder was oddly darker than normal New England clam chowder and didn't have a great flavor. Both my bf and his dad said the linguine and clam sauce use to be so much better. My bf ate 2/4 mussels from the dish because the second one tasted off. The only good thing I had was the pull apart bread that they brought back. It was super fluffy and yummy. 1 star for the bread. 1 star for the bartender dealing with bad dad jokes and compensating 2 beverages off the bill.
The Gandy Dancer is certainly one of Pittsburgh's most opulent restaurants. Not so much for price but it's just beautiful.
In the 70s it was restored and remodeled into a fine restaurant and it was a 1st class job.
The food is world class as well! I had some shrimp scampi which was awesome and my son and daughter had a filet mignon and scallops and all was perfect.
A beautifully resurrected train station. Great spot!

Just don’t bother. We had to ask 5 times for silverware. It took 10 minutes after we got our food to get silverware. The Prosecco was flat. The mixed drinks were eh. Then they got one time wrong and couldn’t get it together and never brought the item. There was no rush on their part and one person never got to eat one thing. Even tho they said any minute and they’d put a rush on it. Horrible service
