The silverware was dirty along with the napkin it was wrapped in. They took the bread and salad away which are the best part of the meal. Ever since Covid hit this place has not been the same and is getting worse. Very disappointing because I have been coming here for 35 years and now I will not be coming here ever again. Management made some bad decisions. Must not have enough people to prep food

We are new to Pittsburgh. We walked over to this local Station Square District to explore. We had seen the Gandy online and decided to check it out. What a cool historical spot! We actually went two evenings in a row the food and service was so good. Amanda and Sammie took great care of us each night. We had the wedge salad, asparagus, filet, smashed redskin potatoes and chicken breast with a mushroom and artichoke topping. Everything was cooked to perfection both nights. Friday evening was definitely buzzing with a great happy hour business and locals crowd! We will definitely become regulars. Large long bar and table seating both. Top notch!

The Gandy Dancer is one of those timeless Pittsburgh experiences that is tied to its history. The views of the adjacent Grand Concourse from the bar area are beautiful. We had not been here in several years and we made a point of stopping over the Christmas holidays with visiting family and had a great experience - almost like visiting an old friend. The pricing fits the atmosphere but going during happy hour (which we did) provides some reduced drink prices. We will definitely put this stop back in a more regular rotation for us.

So I'm not sure what was going on between the two bartenders last night. There was a definite passive aggressive vibe from the one. It was 20 minutes before we were greeted. With another 15 before we got our drinks. We came here for Valentine's Day and liked it so much that we wanted to come here for our anniversary. We were taken aback by the ridiculous service at such an esteemed landmark here in Pittsburgh. The burgers are phenomenal. Not sure we would come back though after the awful service.

This spot is an excellent place for a casual get together with friends. The location is good and easy to find. The food is very good (they have an excellent vegetarian meal). The service was the very best. Taylor and Miranda were pleasant and attentive and provided us with every need, advice and courtesy. Two of the best servers i have ever encountered. i highly recommend the Gandy Dancer.

As home grown Pittsburghers, my partner and I have frequented the Grand Concourse and the Gandy Dancer for decades. Our visit recenty was horrible. We were treating out-of-town guests to drinks and dinner and decided to have drinks at the Gandy Dancer. We noticed as soon as we entered that tables had not be cleared so we had to sit at the bar. We sat there for at least 20 minutes while the bar staff stood at the other end of the bar talking to each other. We waited another 5 minutes, and when no one took our orders we simply walked out. Very disappointing, I don't think they train their staff.

Located in Station Square and part of the Grand Concourse. It serves the same great food as its more formal partner, but you can dress casual. There’s not many tables but the bar is a good spot to have a drink or grab a good meal.Nice atmosphere and not too loud like some bars can be. Try one of their chocolate martinis for desert!

I asked the bartender for a smoked old fashioned & she said okay... brought me an old fashioned, not smoked... still good, just not what I asked for. Later she asked if I'd like another one & she said embarrassed she just realized she didn't smoke the first one. She proceeded to make me another & it was smoked & delicious.

Oysters Rockefeller were divine not sure why they were served on salt as they were cooked and kinda fell apart, and then you got big chunks of salt.

First time I was here for just drinks. Service and selection was great and was cheaper (and nicer) than the Hard Rock two doors down. While I haven't ordered off of the menu, I have been here multiple times for their amazing brunch. While pricey, worth it in my opinion.

DIRTY. Used to be a nice place. Stopped in last night for the first time in a couple of years and was shocked at how GRIMY it was. I mean it was bad. Tables weren't open so tabletops only. EVERY single one was stacked with dishes and the staff was more concerned about being on their cells than actually clearing tables and cleaning the place. What a.shame. Used to be nice. CLEAN. It's not that difficult

I am hesitant to write this review but feel that I have to because of how downhill this pub has slid. The Gandy Dancer Pub at the Grand Concourse restaurant at Station Square was really one of "the places" to stop and have a comfortable time because the atmosphere, the food, and pub-like ambiance. Not having visited the Pub for quite some time, I was very surprised when my wife and I stopped there on Sunday for a quick dinner. So many inviting restaurants have set up shop in Station Square, but we decided on "habit" and "past memories." My first impression was using the restroom when we first arrived. The men's restroom was absolutely filthy (this should have been a sign to get out) - used hand towels cluttering the floor, dirty toilets, and very dirty sinks reminded me of a gas station restroom that hadn't been cleaned for some time. I questioned whether we should stay or visit another restaurant. We decided to stay (because at least, as I remember, the food would be good) only to see that the Pub also was also in similar condition. The dirty floors and "clammy" table were other signs for us to leave. We were seated next to the old, filthy and unused metal serving station. I couldn't help but notice this abandoned station, with empty wine and champaign boxes sitting on the area in plain view hadn't been cleaned for quite some time because there was a thick layer of dust and grease covering the station. From where I was seated, I noticed that behind this area was a broom and piles of trash obviously swept out of sight and "under the carpet" and not placed in a proper garbage dispenser. And the sad thing was that the management would leave that in plain view of the customers. We had ordered our drinks (I admit our server was very nice and attentive) and felt committed to staying and eating because at least the food would be good. Not true. I ordered my usual Charlie's Chowder (very salty and not of the same quality I remembered. It didn't even seem like the same recipe) and a fish sandwich. The usually tasty fish (as I remember) was dry and bland. As salty as Charlie's Chowder was, the fish actually had no taste at all. My wife had a salad (can't argue with that) and her linguini w/clam sauce was tasty. I decided not to complain to the manager because I didn't want to seem like we were looking for any "discounts" on our dining experience. To me, it is what it is. If management was on the premises, he or she clearly would have noticed all of this and had the pub cleaned - ar least presentable. A once cherished dining experience was not that at all. From where we were seated, I had to stare at the filth behind the metal serving area and dirty floors made me want to get out of this pub as quickly as possible - which we did. I feel bad that this once cherished pub has gone so far down hill. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Too many dining options exist that we would be foolish to want to return to this restaurant. The management should step up and present the unique dining experience that once was a Pittsburgh treasure.

Lovely menu choices. Beautiful decor or architecture. Great place to gather

Used the frequent the Gandy Dancer often. Tonight was a swing and a miss. A rude server and lack of menu items resulted in us leaving before the drinks were ever delivered to the table. Even the host was apparently annoyed by the existence of the customers who came in to dine. A really weird and off putting experience.
