Second time going there second time our food was made wrong and the service was terrible. I wanted to give it a second chance because I like supporting local businesses. I had to go find a waitress just to get the check. And she forgot to put our to go order in. Will not be back.

Nice place for all occasions! Specials for Pirates, Penguins and Steelers! Great food and several beers on tap! Friendly staff and MULTIPLE tvs for all the sports you can handle! Never a problem and enjoy the customers.

We've gotten takeout from The Getaway a few times recently and I'm glad we discovered them. It's nearby and the burgers are quite good. I wish there was more sauce/toppings, which is a personal preference - and I will say I haven't directly asked for that yet! I'd also like a BYO burger/chicken sandwich kind of setup but I realize that can be difficult for the kitchen. They have housemade pickles on one burger! The menu is pretty varied - wings, burgers, sandwiches including a Cuban (haven't tried yet), scoop fries look interesting, salads, and some unique fried apps. They do have a kids' menu!
The service has been great on the phone. Normally I hate calling places - and they do have online ordering - but the folks answering the phones have been very friendly and helpful, while also taking my order efficiently.
I hope to get there in person someday but I have to say, the takeout is great if you're stuck at home for whatever reason! They have a stand up comedy night on Mondays, and wing night on Wednesdays as of spring 2025.
