I don't know what it is about this bakery but they always seem to mess up my cake orders! I love the taste of giant eagle cake, I'll give them that but something is always wrong with my order. My husband picked up my son's cake, brings it home. No writing on the cake. Just the design. I'm not even going to bother calling customer service because all they do is reconnect you to the bakery at the store to speak with them but why do I want to talk to them, what's to discuss? The flavor of their cakes is their saving grace but other than that they will mess up and mix up your actual order

I haven't ordered anything from the bakery yet. I have gotten many items that are in the display case or in the bakery area. This bakery can compete with any others in the city! Everything is fresh and delicious!

Very disappointed in the bakery dept for the 2nd time. I ordered my husband's 50th bday cake last week. Was told the decorations would be in on Tuesday so my cake would definitely be ready by today a week later. I get a call 30 minutes before pick up time saying they don't have the decorations for it. It was to late to go elsewhere so told them just to keep everything the same just without the decorations. I go to pick it up & they couldn't even get the trim right. Just put a white line around the top when it was supposed to be blue and green. This is the 2nd cake they messed up and didn't let us know until the last minute. Needless to say, I won't be placing any more orders with them. So disappointing.

This is probably the best giant eagle location in the whole of Pittsburgh. I have been to several giant eagles and I can attest to this. I lived down the street from this location for four years and used to come here often. I then moved to South Hill after I got married, and the giant eagle there isn't as nice as this one. I don't mind coming back to this location when I'm in the neighborhood. The produce here are always fresh, customer service is always on point, and they sell everything that you need. This is a very busy location at a busy interaction, but they have a big parking lot so you should be able to find parking.
