This was a fun taco joint to enjoy with prices and portions allowing you to try a variety of flavors. I was surprised how much I liked all our choices, but the Salmon and the Mahi Mahi were my favorites. I recommend walking a block and you can see the Pittsburgh city line and sports stadiums from the overlook.

Other great choices were:
Nashville Hot Chicken
Smoked Wings
Shrimp Pipian

I have visted this restaurant numerous times, and this last experience unfortunately resulted in me not coming back.

The tacos are not bad, however, let's talk price point. I am a taco lover and have eaten tacos at most places in the Burgh. Their tacos are average of 10$ each, and are, at best a 6$ taco based on size.

Price is one thing, and I'll come for atmosphere, however, kitchen service/ support should be ON POINT.

Our server was new. Which was cool. She was still learning. We ordered our food (which was not complicated , basically asked for no cheese due to dairy allergy) and her response was "chef will be annoyed".

However, we were able to place the order. I also placed an order for a chicken taco to go. When she handed me chicken taco and said ingredients I mentioned they forgot lettuce and could she add on side.

She came back with a small container of lettuce and a message from chef Caleb, that "he won't do that again and we should have ordered xyz..." Really? Chef you BIG mad cause you had to put lettuce in a container and hand it off?

Meanwhile the new server didn't know to recommend that as she is new and we didn't know to order that as we didn't make menu.

Obviously this chef has an issue with doing his job and making customers happy. To treat a new server as if she was even scared to ask for what customer wanted is absorb.

To give customer a message is absurb.

I won't be back.

I absolutely love coming here, I’ve been here with a friend and with my fiancé and both times we had amazing service and the food is phenomenal, and it doesn’t mess with my stomach at all whatsoever like most restaurants do! I live almost an hour away but I still am more than willing to make the drive and definitely will be coming back soon :)

Stopped in to have a tequila and also ended up having their chips and salsa trio. Loved the atmosphere and everything about this place. The reason why I didn't give five stars on the service was because I think we were simply there for drinks and to use the restroom while some of our party went across the street for ice cream. It didn't seem to please our server and we didn't get as much attention as I felt we should have. But I would still go back.

I ordered just one taco because the price of it was expensive already. I'm used to a taco being on average $3.99, at this restaurant it was $9, and of course the menu just showed whole numbers without the dollar sign as a small trick to get you desensitized to the values. When it came the taco was definitely not authentic, my Filipino mother next to me literally said this is like her own mom's food on the tortilla LMAO, meanwhile I was just disgusted honestly by what I was seeing. When I ate the taco it was flavorless, with the tortilla and ingredients not making a nice contrast to one another. The server was decent, but when initially we asked to have another table, the server just wiped down a booth table without drying it, and ultimately the dirty paper menus were used by one of my family members to dry it, so that's cool! Finally, the water: it wasn't even cold. That was painful but acceptable, I have to assume this part of America still hasn't figured out refrigeration yet. What a scam of a place!

Absolutely loved this place. I was from out of town and was happy to find good food, friendly service, and a quiet atmosphere. It was a tuesday night so I'm sure they are busier on the weekend. Price was fair for quality and amount.

We ate on the back balcony and had the most delicious margaritas and tequila sunrises I've ever tasted. The food was just right for the vibes and left us full and happy. Our server was friendly and added greatly to our experience! I'll be back the next time I'm in town for sure.

I wish I'd have gotten the bartender's name because she made this experience amazing. I went exploring, rode the Mon. Incline up and found this restaurant based on reviews. I loved my first visit! I tried the carnitas and barbacoa tacos and they were both amazing and very large, certainly worth the price even though it seems high when you see it on the menu. Before I left, I tried a tequila shot the bartender recommended and it was amazing.

I came back with my wife later the same night (for second dinner) and tried the potato/chorizo taco and the roasted carrot taco. They were even better than the first two. Wife got Brisket Quesadilla and it, too, was out of control. Even the dessert was amazing - like a churro meets a cannoli!

The food was great, the drinks were amazing, the staff and patrons were all super friendly to me as we visited from out of town.

We'll be back to Pittsburgh and when we do, we'll be back to Gordo's!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐A perfect night out!
