In a time of overpriced food and underwhelming ambiance the Grand Course provided the perfect place to take visitors from out of state to. The magnificence of the rotunda sets the mood and the view of the city and river shows off Pittsburgh. The menu was large and varied, the service was great, the food delicious and all priced fairly for an upscale restaurant. We hadn't been there for a while but we will put it on the top of our go to list

Ambiance is gorgeous. I reside in Cleveland and was giving Marble Room Vibes walking down into the main dining. It did take quite some time to get greeted and water service. But overall server was attentive without being intrusive. Would visit again to try out other items on menu

The selection and quality of food was top notch. Although I heard about the donuts, we all preferred the cinnamon buns. The service was almost perfect - the drinks didn't arrive until after our first course was finished (I don't blame our server for this one).

We went for a birthday celebration. We were seated farthest away from all of the food. Half of the food I got from the buffet was not even warm or not fresh.

We had reservations for 10am, and were seated approximately 10 minutes after our arrival. Upon seating we were placed at a very cramped table in the corner of the restaurant. While we were with the hostess we expressed our concern that there wasn't adequate space to sit comfortably and eat, but she just walked away from us. We were approached by the waitress assigned to our section who was absolutely lovely, and when we expressed our concerns to her she contacted a different host, who came back, had us pack up all of our things and took us back to the host stand and wait again while they found us a different table. While this was going on, my mother-in-law and daughter had already gone up to the buffet to begin getting their plates. We waited another 10 minutes to be reseated at a different table in a different section (all the while my daughter and mother-in-law were waiting inside the restaurant with their plates). When we were reseated our new waitress seemed to be annoyed with us the entire time we were eating. The food was good, but not excellent, and overall I don't feel the value for the experience was achieved. For almost $200 for 4 people, I expect magic, we experienced mediocre.

really enjoyed the Sunday brunch yesterday!!! I wanted the people I took to enjoy as much as I did and they did!!!

Saturday date night. The music from the the wedding reception in the main dining room made conversation difficult. This defeated the main reason for for going out for the evening, and selecting the restuarant. Resturant was very busy. Food was good, nothing wrong. Tuna carpaccio apetizer was rather bland. The sea bass was good. My date ordered the cedar salmon. It was good, did not taste what the cedar plank.

Waiter did not return my debit card. I had to ask for it as the waiter left it in their processing machine.

Our server was clearly poorly trained/the standards for a waiter in the establishment are rather low. He made us feel that we were an inconvenience. Interesting how he became quite cheerful when he handed over the check for the table, anticipating his tip. Food was acceptable. Beautiful setting. May return sometime in the future but it will not be soon. Management needs to pay attention to the reviews here and on Yelp.

Always love going to Grand Concourse. It never disappoints. This week, our server was Neil, was a wealth of information regarding Pittsburgh and Landry restaurants. Will always visit if my schedule allows!!

Very good food and excellent ambience! Services could be a little better at this price-point (multiple mistakes by the server) but she quickly apologized and we had a great experience, overall!! Will return in future!! Thanks.

This was an amazing experience! Our waitress was super nice and personable! Checked in enough to let us know she knew we were there but gave us space to eat and socialize! The food, chefs kiss! Definitely would go again. Worth the money.

The Grand Concourse is an iconic piece of architectural history on the South side of Pittsburgh. Walk in and be transported back in time to the days of Gatsby. Gorgeous dark hardwood and marble pillars support the cathedral ceiling made of stained glass. The restaurant has a grand staircase and the Gandy Dancer piano bar for more casual upscale dining. On the riverside of the restaurant we enjoyed a table with views of the cityscape, Smithfield St bridge and river activity. We explored every corner of this grand building enjoying a fresh waffle and donut station, pasta bar, traditional breakfast/brunch buffet, freshly cooked omelette station, carving station with prime rib, ham and turkey options, shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon. Various tables of desserts and chocolate fondue fountain. Take your time and have an experience you'll never forget.

Our food was very salty - Mediterranean Chicken The Lemon Salmon didn't have much flavor at all Our waiter didn't talk to us and only gave us some-two word answers. They also didn't regularly refill water

The service was very good, ambiance and historical building was wonderful. The food for a couple of the entrees were a little salty.
