Very impressive atmosphere. Very grand. Service was top notch. Food was outstanding. Can't wait to go back!
Grand concourse is conveniently located on the southside right over the Smithfield Street bridge from downtown Pittsburgh. The service was outstanding and our server Neil was great. Our food was excellent.
We always love coming to the Grand Concourse; however, even though we made a reservation, we still needed to wait close to 40 minutes to be seated for the Sunday brunch.
First time eating here. Having a reservation did not get us seated very quickly - very busy around 1pm for Sunday brunch. We were not seated until 40 mins past our reservation even after we got a text saying our table was ready. About 15 mins after that we were taken to our table. The stations seemed a little understaffed but lines weren't too long. I enjoyed the options and my meal
Lots of different foods. Fresh donuts, waffles, and pancake station, omelet station, chocolate fountain, breakfast area with eggs and the works, etc. Nothing for vegans. Service was wonderful.
I server Greg was amazing he made our family feel welcome. He was attentive, without being intrusive. He brought some fun to the table by making the perfect comments at the right moment. The food was delicious, only reason we didn't do 5 the pasta Blackened Cajun Chicken, was missing that kick of heat we had expected (4.5) on food if that existed. The carved meats all perfectly cooked and delicious, omelets to order & waffle. The staff all friendly from hosts, kitchen staff, and service. It was a perfect family celebration. I highly recommend celebration, or just because.
The staff and server were accommodating and attentive. The food was good with plenty of options at the brunch. The building provides a great atmosphere.
Lots of offerings for their Sunday brunch...Fresh made for you omelets, waffles, donuts, pasta as well as carved roast beef, ham and turkey. Cold shrimp and mussels along with a selection of salads and a large hot buffet with chicken, vegetables and rice/potatos. Smoked salmon, fixings and lox cream cheese are on one side of the large dining room while bagel and toaster are on the other end of the building???? Desserts are cookies, cakes and sticky buns. They have chicken fingers and French toast sticks for children. Tasty Dirty Bloody Mary includes bacon, olives and lemon . Coffee is delicious . Danielle was our waitress — kept us happy and kept the coffee flowing. Ambiance is over the top...beautiful historic building interior. PRO TIP: take the picture of your group on the steps looking out from the steps instead of looking up at the steps, that way you get the beautiful building as your background.
The food and service were fine. Looking forward to our next time there. I did tell them that we were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and 2 birthdays when I made the reservation on the app opentable, but no one made any acknowledgment when we were there, maybe I should have said something when we checked in.
We can't go back until they switch out from peanut oil. Seems silly when there are plenty of alternatives. Warm the mussels. Rest was good and place is awesome.

Our server took great care of us. The grand hall where we ate was beautiful, with stunning chandeliers and stained-glass windows. The food was fine, nothing spectacular. But the bathroom was horrendous. It was dark, the floors were dirty, and there wasn't any toilet paper in the handicap stall, which caused a lot of problems. The sinks were soaking wet. It didn't look like anyone was maintaining the room or checking it during the 2.5 hours that we were there. For such an expensive restaurant, you would think they could properly maintain their restrooms.
